Tonight I ordered X2 Pizzas X1 portion of large donner meat with Garlic and X1 chips with garlic for me and my partner. The delivery was on time but unfortunately the food was not up to standard. The Pizzas where dry and my partner was disappointed with his donner meat it was cold and rubbery. The chips were okay and the garlic dip was really nice. Gill fisheries usually do extremely nice Pizzas and Donner Meat so I hope tonight was just a one off unfortunate circumstance otherwise I will have to go elsewhere which will be sadly disappointing. Vegetarian options: The only thing I have had is the vegetarian pizza and it was really nice.
I would not recommend the food from here as I found a long black hair in my chips and the food was undercooked, the portion of salt and vinegar put on my chips was so minimal that we could not taste it. Of all the chippy's I have been to in my life, considering I am 37 years old, this has been the most horrific experience in all eternity.

Brilliant takeaway, came across their pizzas by accident when my son wanted a Pizza earlier than the traditional pizza shops opened but they turned out to be the best in the area. Staff are great - very friendly and helpful. Can't say enough good things about Gills, will return again and again. And they are now on Just Eat for delivery!
Great food and the place is always busy. Fish is fried to order usually so you couldn't ask for any fresher. Keep in mind though, this shop is CASH ONLY. I've been caught out when I've ordered food over the phone, have went to pick it up and only had my mobile to pay for something... Can't pay and can't use a cash machine. Ooops.

Food is lush but the staff are horrible I asked for chips and a TUB of garlic sauce but the lady put it all over the chips took it back told her I’d asked for a tub not splattered all over the chips. she shouted with an attitude that I NEED to pay extra for a tub then snatched the chips of me she tossed them in the bin made me fresh ones. asked for a small amount of salt on the chips because she was angry at her own mistake she poured half a tub of salt on them then when she was finished she threw the chips back at me so when I got home the chips where inedible this member of staff has short blond hair needs to sort out her disgusting attitude problem!
