Nice restaurant and amazing service. Food was great. Papaya salad was nice but miss a bit of flavour within the fruit normal , where are in uk Spring rolls highly recommended with the sticky fried chicken and sesame ice cream. The pad Thai was really good. The cherry on the top would have been if they had mango sticky rice as dessert. Wine was great but a bit pricey.
We’re surprised on how authentic and tasty this Thai restaurant during our visit to Bristol this time! The quality of the food was superior as they uses many types of aromatics and spices to create these curry paste. The dishes was displayed nicely and served in a decent portion. Food was good, nice decoration. Friendly staff. We order shrimp pad thai! Will be coming back! They serve food until pretty late! Towards the end they may have turned the heat off and the music was a bit loud. Many gluten free options!
Great service, tasty curry, good menu selection. Portions tad disappointing, three prawns in a bowl of red curry served with rice, the fried chicken wings tad dry. And be nice to have a jug of water to refill after having the rice with only curry sauce and veg and the three prawns.
It's a pleasure from the moment you step in, till you leave. Lovely food & staff, super quick service and great decor. What more do you need! I simply love Thai food and this place makes me keep going back for more.
I can’t express enough how kind the staff are at Giggling Squid! We had an extremely positive experience, everything tasted amazing and had lot’s of flavour, but in addition it’s worth mentioning we were a table of 8 and the staff helped us with anything we asked for. We visited for a graduation celebration and bday dinner and the staff even provided us a candle and small lava cake!!
We are spending a chilled out Pre Christmas weekend in Bristol and Clifton is our favourite place to eat and drink. Having been to a few watering houses we needed to eat. Last time we came the "Squid" was fully booked but tonight we were in luck. And....it is very popular. And....very busy and bustling. And....very bright....too bright !! Turn those lights down...get a bit of ambiance. The girls serving were all wonderful..unfortunately it's an Asian thing to continuously harass you....until you give in....and order. So....not really relaxing. However, the starters were absolutely delicious duck spring rolls, calamari and prawn crackers and the choices of main courses were mind boggling, but also good...a garlic chicken stir fry and Thai green curry were our choices. Great atmosphere. You can understand why it is so popular.
Amazing atmosphere with speedy and caring service. Never felt like we got forgotten about or felt like we were waiting a long time for the bill. With how busy it was on the night, we appreciated this very much. The food was amazing, lots of wonderful flavours. The starters all packed a serious punch and really got us excited to get to our mains. The mains were great as well, tasted amazing. Would definitely come back again or visit the sister restaurant in Bath. However, the location of this restaurant allows for a nice walk to the suspension bridge, which I feel like is a great way to either start or end a date night. I'm really happy with the price for what we got and will be recommending this to all of my friends and family. Thank you to all of the staff! :

An excellent place to eat; the squid in particular was fantastic, the accompanying sauce was exquisite. Our curries Massaman and Jungle were also both very much enjoyed. The atmosphere and decor is lovely, and service throughout the time we were eating was good. Only things I can fault is we were brought hot plates for our mains ~10mins before the mains themselves, but which time they had cooled. Plus, at the end I was waiting a while before payment was taken. The above minor gripes however were worth the great experience we had eating there. I've often found eating Thai food out to be underwhelming, but this was exceptional. We'd love to visit again.
