From the moment we arrived until we said a grateful goodbye, our stay was memorable, ranking within our top three hotel experiences worldwide. The staff were all courteous, friendly, efficient and attentive. The house was architecturally fascinating, luxurious and spotless. The meals were delicious, with excellent menus, with a very well chosen variety of perfectly cooked dishes and we enjoyed the beautiful views from the dining room windows. We went for a very pleasant walk in the stunning and peaceful grounds. Our room had the most comfortable bed and superb bathroom. Every need was anticipated and fulfilled.

My partner and myself plus our dog booked one of the luxury packages as a little get away as a late birthday/ early valentine gift. We only was there for 24 hours but loved every second we were there. Beautiful hotel, fantastic staff, amazing food and service. The grounds were stunning which our dog loved exploring. Definitely would recommend to family and friends. Will be back for another stay in the near future.

We dined at Gidleigh Park as a celebration of my 60th year.  There was an extremely warm welcome from the most helpful, enthusiastic and and knowledgeable staff; the service was impeccable - just a perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness - well done indeed.  The food, through the multiple courses, was beautifully presented and delicious; another massive tick.  The experience, the building, the food and the service shall not be forgotten easily - absolutely top notch!  And I should add that this comes from someone who is hard to please, who has travelled the world and stayed in top hotels and eaten in many top restaurants - absolutely well done to the entire team for making our dinner into a perfect celebration.  Chef, well done, there was not a course that was not delightful, balanced and flavoursome.  Absolutely thoroughly recommended to anyone who appreciates superb food and excellent service and possibly the biggest compliment of all, we shall return!

Our third visit, and on our arrival we discovered they had noted our previous choice of daily newspapers.  It was, as ever there, raining, so they parked our car for us, while greeting us warmly. Our every request was met with smiles and alacrity, nothing was too much trouble.  The hotel is calm and beautiful in its glorious setting.  One can relax and ignore the world.  And the food is amazing, tasty and adventurous, couldn’t stay too long or we would become absolute gluttons!  But can’t wait to go back…  Rooms: So comfortable and equipped with everything one could need, as well as things one wouldn’t have thought of.  Our request for sheet and blanket rather than duvet was met with no quibble.

This stay was for my wife's 60th birthday.  The staff could not have done more to make her feel special, including small touches, all of which were appreciated.  This was our first stay at Gidleigh Park, and it more than lives up to its well-deserved reputation. We will certainly return.  Thank you to everybody who looked after us.

This is a little piece of heaven in the Moor. From beginning to end all the staff are friendly, helpful and service is second to none. The location is like a fairytale and the grounds are beautiful with lots of lovely walks nearby. We were lucky the putting course was open and it’s so much fun!  But the food is what makes this a real treat. Divine, creative and not too much to eat. Amazing and thank you all so much.  If you can one day treat yourself to stay here. You won’t be disappointed.

We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary with you having always wanted to stay with you and experience the reputation of your restaurant! We had a wonderful stay and your restaurant is truly superb - we can't wait to return!

My favourite hotel! Beautiful grounds and the room we stayed in was lovely. Food is perfect and afternoon tea was great. What makes this place outstanding is the staff. Attentive, polite and friendly. Each time we’ve visited they know who we are this makes you feel special and valued as guests.
