Friendly enough service and a clean pub with good atmosphere. I had the chicken wings with two hot sauce and an Otter Bridge ale for under £8. Ale was very good, but the wings tasted tangy.
As soon as we walked in the smell of vomit was overpowering.. decor is looking very tired and in need of a spruce up, staff where friendly enough, stayed for a wine and a beer and then left, not the best Wetherspoons I’ve visited , won’t be going back .
Best place to hangout for students and sport lovers. Reasonable price for drinks and food. Their large English breakfast is a must try, fell in love with it!!
Nice atmosphere, very affordable prices, especially for combined orders of food and drinks.
if you are looking for properly severd cask ale this is NOT the place to be. Cask ale really depends on how they handle it. Same applies for Old Rosei Cider which was just dull. Fish and chips super expensive for the quantity. Except that the atmosphere is nice
Usual breakfast ordered but eggs were overcooked and added mushrooms and tomatoes were only half delivered one extra piece instead of two, not the first time at this location. Toast and marmalade delivered without cutlery and marmalade. Just about edible but disappointing.
Visted around 1 month ago. We ordered food with a drinks via the app and waited 20 mins for the drinks to come and over 1 hour for the 3 meals to arrive. Not even a sorry for the extremely long wait. The food wasn't particularly great either. The worst wetherspoons that we have ever visited. Unlikely to come here again.
Tuesday night, quiet. 15 minute wait for "gourmet sirloin steak". Absolute labour trying to tear through this piece of fatty, gristley meat. I think out of the whole steak there was maybe only one mouthful that I didn't have to chew over and over just to be able to swallow it. Everything that accompanied the steak was luke warm and peppercorn sauce was cold and congealed in it's little pot..A truly miserable school canteen experience.
The place is always quite busy has a nice atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and the food service quick. There is the normal drinks selection and usual pub menu. Disabled access is great and I was able to bring my assistant dog and was made to feel very welcome and inclusive. Great place for casual drinking or meeting after work, or just a quick pint.
Very weak to non-existent wifi which was why I went there. But despite that I cannot find fault with any Wetherspoons product or pub and the business model is fantastic. Why can't other hospitality venue copy it?
