Company shoddy..they lost my confirmed and paid order in their spam/junk file and only discovered it on 19/9/2023 after being placed on 16/9/2023 when I called them to ask about delivery yet again .They offered me a free cable for their glaring error losing a paid order as compensation, but useless , as a cable was already purchased as part of the order . I therefore asked for a discount on the purchase price of over £515 today and yesterday when checking on the order which they refused to do only offering me a product discount voucher and the person I spoke to was extremely sarcastic when I asked what their other products were,none of which would I purchase. I would have thought the company would have offered me a at least a 10% discount refund as a result of their ineptitude but they would not offer any form of refund . Diabolical customer service.since had a reply from Gibbons not really satisfactory. I had to tell them they had lost my order initially as they had assumed it was on route without checking and they still did not offer me a modest 10% discount refund on My £500+ order which I would have expected rather than a voucher in future orders from a specialised company.
Gibbons service is unbeatable. They are willing to go the extra mile when needed and the prices are competitive - they are my go to for anything motor or VSD related.
Took a 15kW motor for a rewind/overhaul about 5 months ago. Firstly, they installed the front and back bearings the wrong way round, and now the front bearing has failed.nThis should be covered under warranty, along with the labour. Secondly, they went straight to quote and are now looking to charge us another £330.00 to change a £30.00 bearing! We have been told to take it or leave it.nDisgraceful attitude, they have taken no responsibility for an inferior job. Should be a Zero Star option.
Steer clear. All was great until it came to a warranty claim. Customer service took 3 months of hassling and convincing that their assembly was at fault. During that time I was being ignored for days on end and eventually they lied about who they bought it from to try and pass the blame. They now refuse to tell me the name of the actual supplier. No apology for the time they have wasted and they expect me to pay postage to return an item with no guarantee that I will be refunded, even though the manufacturer agrees with me that Gibbons is in the wrong. Appalling.
I have only had great experience with this company. The service is great the price is worth every penny. The MD even drove out himself to deliver critical spare when needed. What more can I say.I have I will always use them
