Takeaway and sit in options. The seating area is well kept. Music was a bit of a ‘80s flashback though. Service fast and friendly. Good classic tasting chips and pies.
Still not accepting the George Cards or giving out points? Had sausage, chips and curry sauce X3 loads of chips, service good and quick. Only downside is parking, as you're trying to find a space to park with other takeaways close by. No good at peak times.Food: 4/5

Good chip shop, salt and vinegar free, but 85p for a small pot of red sauce, get a grip can buy a bottle for that, most chip shops have free sauce

Very very disappointed!! Always use George’s as they are usually good but found this time that prices have increased whilst portions have gotten smaller also all the chips probably only got 15/20 in total ! were rock hard and contained no potato due to being over cooked . Gone extremely down hill !
edited to reflect change: Used to be decent, and decent prices, however now I would say it's small portions for a high price, with a lot of the time the chips being bottom scrappy bits that are no potato and all skin. The homemade fishcakes still remain amazing, but sadly I think the quality and quantity to value no longer matches up.
Although George's has a good reputation, the portion sizes have drastically been reduced, the prices have really got bad and in my opinion not value for money.Food: 4/5
Always a hit with me, I've yet to find another local to me that delivers on taste and portion size again and again. The staff are always amazing, so lovely through and through. Why go anywhere else when you already found a consistent 5 stars every time. xxx
