Thank you today to both the server and the manager. We pop in here most Saturdays after the children have been swimming, because the chips are nice and their lunchtime meal deals are sensible in size and cost for a small lunch time dinner. Anyhow, last week there was a problem with some of our food being missing which we didn't discover until we got it home. It wasn't worth the fuel to go back to the shop at the time, but I thought I would mention it today, more to express my disappointment than looking for compensation. Anyhow, I mentioned it to the server, and she asked me if I would like the manageress informing. And without hesitation they rectified the problem as best as could be expected, it being one week later. So I would like to express my thanks for their total commitment to sorting this out, without any quibbling, and to my complete satisfaction. It is customer service like this which encourages me to continue our weekly visits. Thank you.
Best fish and chips ever in Midlands. Very old fashion but the quality never let you down. Have a large cod with curry sauce and mushy peas, a plate of bread and butter, a nice cup of tea. Perfect. The batter is so light and crispy, not oily at all, the fish is very fresh and good quality. We always go there when we want fish and chips. Parking: Got parking. Kid-friendliness: Got small portion kids menu.

Had delicious fish and chips here. Had the cod, fresh, flaky and soft on the inside and crispy outside. Very quick service and really nice server! Can't fault anything <3 Kid-friendliness: Had a kid's menu! Good for kids.

Went about 2pm no queue. The fish was lovely as usual but the chips were disappointing I had med size but the box was filled with bits and ends of. Potatoes no actual long chips as expected infact it looked like left over bits and I got the lot! Next time I would like proper chips with my fish please.Food: 3/5
Meal online stated it came with a salad, there was nothing. It said it's a meal, but no drink. The chicken burger was tasteless, chips were okay-ish. Tiny amount of curry sauce. Definitely not worth £9.95 and it went into the bin.
UPDATE 2024 - new year, same garbage see pics. Trash food, straight in the bin - this was last chance and never again for me now! 0 stars if only it was possible. How the mighty have fallen. You could gaurentee a queue out the door / stood waiting for a table back in the day, now it seems like a soulless outfit. Having worked there 10 something years ago i remember the cabinets being stacked with quality, well cooked items and the place buzzing. Now it’s a bit of a tired and overpriced shadow of it’s former self with some longtime staff seemingly still there stuck in a rut. It’s been a while since sampling the fish, chips and peas and probably the last. Nothing special at all, not well cooked, not fresh. Fish with blown batter and overdone, chips soggy and luke warm, watery peas. Poor lad serving was in no rush either, he would of been getting a massive hurry up in times gone by. Maybe covid and the cost of living killed it off a bit, but that’s no excuse to drop the standards. RIP GEORGE.
I Came in and made my order, asked for it all in the box. A young blonde guy started putting peas in a carton, I said no all in the box then he took the funnies anyway while carrying on he said something under his breath I asked what he said he said "you heard" wow I thought I said "sorry you are having a bad day". He was so disrespectful had that tone of voice all the time and that look you know passed me my meal in a bag with one hand in that way and I got home and thought he could do this to the next customer so I rang asking for a manager I got a guy called harry who apologised for him and says that he would have a word and offered me a free meal I just said take him off the front I hope no one gets his bad energy there's enough of that around.
Very over-priced and poor value for money. Just paid nearly £6 for a meal that would not feed a child. Chips were greasy and the batter was like mush. A small fish, small & chips with pea's £10.....????!!! That's what I call daylight robbery for a child's portion!Food: 2/5
