Great local pub in Hayes, Bromley.nnWarm and welcoming, with traditional pub grub that is of a good standard, a menu that has a varied selection of options to cater for all tastes, and that represents decent value for money.nnIf you are in the area, pop into this pub and enjoy a hearty meal in a family friendly environment.nnTo all the team at The George, keep up the good work!
We reserved one side of the pub to hold my birthday celebrations and ordered a selection of party food for 20 people. The selection of food was great and all the guests remarked on how good the spread was! We were especially pleased with the vegetarian options. Del and Beth looked after us all very well all evening. We really like the George in general but would recommend it as a venue for a special event too.
Ordered pork belly with scallops. Scallops were so oversalted that drowning them in the sauce didnt help. There was no pork either, only fat. Really disappiintong dish. Maybe other options on the menu are better.
Overall it was a nice experience. However, I had the triple roast. My chicken was extremely dry and had to soak it in gravy so i could eat it. The veg which came with all our four meals was very small and looked like it was mashed up. Hence my 6 rating
I have never been so well treated by a waitress. Olivia was so lovely and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful night. Will be back soon.
