Gems Bridal Wear has a large selection of beautiful wedding gowns in stock to suit every shape, size and budget. There are more than 200 gowns in stock with prices ranging from £195 to £1500. We stock many leading designers including Maggie Soretto, D'Zage, Veromia, Alfred Angelo and Romantica and many more.

There is also a wonderful selection of veils, tiaras and shoes. Tiaras can be designed to individual tastes and a shoe dyeing service is also available.

We offer a friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere, where our aim is to give every bride the personal experience she deserves.

We also stock an array of bridesmaids' dresses in every colour imaginable plus beautiful flower girl dresses to make every little girl's dream come true.

I have just left here and can not recommend enough!! Angela was absolutely amazing made me feel so comfortable and my favorite dress was one she picked out for me after noticing my style size etc really took the time to listen to what I liked went out of her way to find ones for me was honest with her opinions! Honestly she could not have done enough for us!! Please if you want to go wedding dress shopping 100000% you need to go here! Angela also took all my measurements tried veils tiaras belts everything thank you so much!! Can't wait to return
Wow never been in a bridal shop and thought it was going to be small but I was so wrong it is so much bigger than looks and wow they stock a huge variety of dresses x the most welcoming attentive staff and I bought the first dress I chose even though I tried on quite a few and was the most lovely experience x highly recommend x Thankyou so much you made an anxious experience feel so amazing and I said yes to the dress beautiful
I bought my dress from Gems bridal wear and would 100% thoroughly recommend to everyone. Kayla looked after me on my appointment and I would rate her 10/10! ...very kind, helpful and put me at ease straight away when I came in the door. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt very well looked after. They have a massive choice of dresses and the shop is beautifully presented. I didn't feel rushed and there was no pressure to buy on the day, but I found a beautiful dress at an amazing price in thier sale so did decide to buy one that I fell in love with. They definitely deserve a 5 star rating .
Amazing... our dresses were fantastic. Sally and her team went an extra 100 miles for Sarah, my wife. If I could leave 10 stars I would.... thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
What an experience, from the moment we stepped in the shop we were treated faultlessly. The staff are super friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to get my “soon to be” daughter in law her perfect dress. Can not fault the shop or staff. Thank you Karen and Angela for being so lovely xxx
We booked the appointment for 4/3/23 for my daughter, who lives on the mainland, the week before, for the only slot available which was 3 o clock. When we arrived the staff member was surprised we had been able to book for 3 o clock as they closed at 4 so immediately we felt rushed. On booking the appointment we were told when we asked, that there was a large range of plus size dresses including tea length dresses which my daughter was keen to try. It was meant to be a very special occasion and quite honestly it felt like we were intruding. We were shown upstairs to a very small range of plus size dresses 5 in total. There was no assistance in the dressing room and so my daughter was left to fend for herself. Overall, she was left feeling humiliated and disheartened and what should have been a special memorable occasion ended in my daughter in tears.
Walked in with my alternative daughter to see if we could look at some bridesmaid dresses ,we were looked up and down and asked not particularly nicely when we needed it for, 4 months away to be told they couldn't order anything in that time ,end of conversation ! literally shown the door and was left feeling very judged just by my daughters appearance ! took our business elsewhere and were treated exceptionally well and made to feel very special, this shop needs to realise that everyone's money is the same no matter how you choose to dress
Had a wonderful experience shopping here. The ladies were so attentive and helpful, making suggestions as I did not know what I wanted at all! I felt very safe throughout my visit - we were provided with gloves and slippers to wear. I went before masks were compulsory, but they were still available to use if we had wished, and the ladies wore visors whenever they had to come near me to help with the dress. The shop and dresses are beautiful. Highly recommend!
I was lucky enough to start looking for my dress at the same time Gems were celebrating their 20th year anniversary. I entered their 'win your dream dress competition' and, although I didn't win, I did get a fantastic discount off of a Designer Gown. This opened up my choices so much and I did indeed find the dress of my dreams Kayla was fantastic, very kind and not pushy at all. I did not feel under pressure to make a purchase but I couldn't resist! Highly recommend
Thank you to every singe one of the ladies who work at Gem’s Bridal Wear! Lynn was amazing and so patient when I very unexpectedly said ‘yes’ to the dress I hadn’t intended or expected to find it so quickly. We’ve been back a few times since to buy other bits and had exactly the service you’d expect when buying the most important dress of your life, thank you to you all. A very different experience to a couple of other places we’d been. Fab shop, fab service xx
