Stumbled upon this great find, whilst walking along Brighton’s promenade. We enjoyed a great tasting APA with a burger & flank steak with fries. Overall service was quick, although had to order food via app, which is not my preferred option. Staff were generally friendly, but had very little interaction. Highlight was definitely the Bison APA!
Awful - one star only for place - kitchen is terrific - steak was raw inside and burnt on the outside, we had to ask for it to be cooked some more. The photo was taken after we asked for it to be cooked again. Even though the steak meat was good quality, the texture after it was cooked was like rubber.
What a sad place this is! It is no wonder they have sited it so far from people with any semblance of taste. The staff are unkempt, the place is run-down and the service is poor. Still using the Covid-app, if only to avoid interaction with the general public, we have been in lockdown for over 18months, some places shouldn't worry about ever opening again and close whilst there is an opportunity to disappear without any trace, especially as they wouldn't be missed! The architecture is one of reused steel portacabins, the type seen on far Eastern transport container ships. When is this ship returning, can they take there rusty cabins with them this time. I've used them myself as modular modern day hotels with much respect and a relatively imaginative design solution but have always retained a level of maintenance to retain their 'make-shift' steel imagery with some modicum of flare. This place is in need of a full refurbishment to give it some decency and make it somewhere anybody, other than hungry seagulls would want to visit.
Nice place for a drink but not for food. Had the vegetarian supreme but there were not enough vegetables on it. Disappointing.
First time we visited, and can recommend. We did book, but we’re running very late, as we do. On arrival they said don’t worry, as they keep loads of tables for walk-ins. Plenty of seating, with a lot of it under cover. You order by app, and drinks are delivered quite promptly. They do a barbecue, which made us feel hungry, but as we had stuffed our faces earlier we resisted. Team friendly and helpful.
Good food but portions ate too small to my liking. Craft beer good but again not enough choice and unfortunately no guest beer at all even that it was on the menu board. Good music thou to chillout.
Fantastic beer! Have been here 4 times in the last 2 months & loved it every time. Food, Beer & Sea
GREAT FOOD!!! And the service from Adrian. Jesus! That guy is incredible! I’m astounded at his level of service. He sprints your food to you in seconds and has the time to say hello. What a legend. Please give this man a pay rise and never fire him!
Visited with a more mature stag do group on a Saturday evening. Awesome music, interesting pizzas and choice of drinks. Ryan aka Simon Pegg did an excellent job meeting and greeting people at the entrance and regularly checked up on customers during the evening. Top bloke!
Possibly the coolest place in the world. A December evening on Brighton beach in deckchairs listening to chilled music and looking over the firepit and drinking cider. Decent drinks at reasonable prices, all good.
