Went with my 7 year old and her friend. They played Dobble and 2 types of Cluedo. They had hot chocolates and some fries. We enjoyed the hospitality and the game play. We would go again.
Fantastic place. I first came here last year and the manager at the time was able to place my name and ever since he hasn't forgotten it nor anyone else he's met. The place is welcoming for all ages and provides plenty of opportunities to play games or be social with other hobbyists
Took my boys 2.5 and 10yo on Saturday. Little one was playing with Lego and the older joined the Pokémon beginners group. Events are free- please purchase a hot drink at least one every hour. Definitely coming back.
Great place to be. Friendly staff and always a good vibe. Engaging the customers and putting on fun events.
Very talkative and friendly staff. Had a nice conversation about my interests and had an amazing Pikachu Milkshake to go with! 10/10 recommended!
Awesome place for all ages to hang out, play games, have a coffee and a bite to eat! Crammed to the rafters with awesome merch: cards, models, books, comics, board games, keyrings, posters, funkopops, note books...and more! They have a great range of items on the menu, and reasonable prices. There's a dedicated area upstairs for playing Dungeons and Dragons, where members of staff assist. Lots of board games to play and comics to read while enjoying some chillout time with friends or family. Open until 6pm, too, so somewhere safe to hang out after the shops have closed
My husband and son LOVE this place and I wanted to see what the fuss was all about... We went last weekend with our son and toddler and the second I walked in I felt like I was with 'my kinda people'. Music was amazing, so nice to hear alternative music being played. The merch and stock levels are amazing too. There is something for everyone! I'm coming back for my Steve Harrington mug! The staff are utterly delightful, quirky and down to earth. We got some milkshakes, coffees and chips. The kids loved it. We played some board games upstairs and every single customer was just so lovely. I offered our table to a group of lads wanting to spend their Saturday afternoon gaming and honestly it made me realise 2 things: How I would have loved this place as a kid and also how much I miss Quiggins. You have recreated that Quiggins vibe for us that we haven't experienced since it closed down. You guys are amazing and what you're doing for the community and for people who just love to game is awesome.
A wonderful space for your imagination... a nice friendly and safe space.
Situated on the main road going through Hoylake. Friendly staff. Great place for Funky pops, trading cards and all stuff 'geek'. Well worth a visit. Lovely cafe with a good variety of milkshakes among other stuff.
The best thing here was Mike who was working the cafe. He was so fun and happy and really is the main thing that stuck with me after my visit with my partner. His passion absolutely shone through, and I enjoyed a very geeky conversation about DnD! The food was good, the milkshake was delicious, but the atmosphere and staff made it feel so fun. I only hope people continue to visit and support during the current pandemic, because this is a place that I believe will absolutely shine after this is over, and I for one will be there!
