Came in with family this week around midday and was greeted when we arrived, made to feel welcome. Food & drink was served perfectly and the quality and taste of the food was of a high standard. The gammon was thick, succulent and fresh. The maypole burger was absolutely delicious and juicy. Anne, the landlady, was really nice to talk to. I look forward to my next visit!

Absolutely smashing. Was struggling to find a place to go for dinner tonight and just before giving up decided to give this place a go. It was exactly what we were looking for; a lovely, fresh venue with an atmosphere that's warm, friendly, and civilised, the staff were on point, genuine, and accommodating, and the food took it all to the next level. I had the gammon and it might be the best I've ever had. It was cooked in a way I'd never seen before - as though attention has been paid to getting it tasting just right rather than just getting it done. To top it all off, the price was perfectly balanced to justify the quality without feeling expensive. The people here have got it spot on for anyone looking for a solid pub to have a drink or a meal in with friends or family. Thanks for the great hospitality guys :
This was my first time visiting this Inn, and me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. The food we had was cook to perfection. My partner had Scampi & Chunky Chips with Garden Peas. And I had the Metropolitan Burger, with Onion Rings, Chunky Chips and Coleslaw. Both dishes was beautifully delivered with a delightful smile from the staff. Thank you so much, we will be coming back...
Had a really lovely meal from Christmas menus . Food enjoyed by me and my friends. We all commented about how table was presented and staff very helpful and attentive. Well worth a visit . Thank you ALL the staff
Have been 3 times this week for Christmas lunch. Fabulous food especially the pepper mushroom with Stilton added. Turkey dinner delicious. Ann and Wayne with their team are so welcoming and always go out of their way to make it a lovely time, Happy Christmas to you all x
Very busy and noisy atmosphere when we first arrived and bought our drinks.We were sorry to hear the kitchen had just closed so we weren't able to try the food this time.Interior was very nicely decorated and felt very cosy and rustic.Nice outside drinking/smoking area and small car park. Staff were friendly and welcoming, will come again when food is being served.

Fantastic meal today. Reserved a table and they managed to fit us in with not much notice with the Leeds game and a Christening on. Pub was buzzing because of the Leeds game and the service did not slack, staff very attentive and on the ball. Great food and the best chips!! Highly recommend.
