They didn't turn up when they were meant to and didn't call to confirm and give me a time as they said they would. They then did come at a random time when I was not in and then despite it only being 10 minutes later that I got back, refused to come back that day. This now leaves me with still no boiler and no plumber and yet more days of cold showers. They did offer to reschedule at some point, but I couldn't see any point in bothering. I'm sure the plumber is perfectly competent but the woman who books his appointments is completely pointless. If you want to make a booking I would suggest instead of phoning their number, probably just write on a bit of paper when you want them to come, put it in a bottle and hurl it into the sea.

As a self-employed tradesman myself, I know how important reviews, feedback & recommendations are for companies, & also for potential customers when choosing which company to use, so I always like to give credit when it's due. I have never used Gas Smart (Tamworth) before, but I called them yesterday as I had a problem with my boiler & had no heating or hot water. I phoned a few companies, of which 2 just had an answer machine on their landline number & there was no mobile number on their site. The other company I rang didn't seem very knowledgeable. Gas Smart were the first company I called & as they advised me they wouldn't have the part in stock (although should be able to get it next day) I decided to phone a few others to see if anyone did stock the common parts for my boiler, as I had no heating or hot water. The lady who took my call (NOT a Gas Fitter / Engineer, she just takes the calls) seemed quite knowledgeable, which was quite reassuring. When I called back the second time she advised me that they were very busy (I guess it's that time of the year for boiler breakdowns) & would endeavour to get out to me towards the end of the day & once the engineer had diagnosed the problem & identified the part required, they should be able to get it & fit it the following day. True to their word, they called me first the next day, with a price for the part, & within 2 hours the engineer came round & fitted it, so I'd got heating and hot water again. They were also very accommodating with working around my business too, as I'm a 24 hour mobile Locksmith, so I can be called out urgently at any time. Prior to each visit they told me to call them if I had a job come in & they would call another time. What I was also impressed with, was that I'd originally stated that my boiler is probably overdue a service. They had always maintained that they were prioritising emergency jobs at present, as it was the week before Xmas, so they wouldn't be able to service my boiler until January. However, during the first visit the engineer said he'd do a quick check when he returned & would advise me whether it actually needed servicing or not. When he returned, I was pleasantly surprised that he told me it was all running fine & there was no urgency for it to be serviced. So a BIG thanks to Gas Smart for being honest with me, rather than telling me it did need servicing, knowing that I was quite happy for this to be done anyway. Suffice to say, I have since asked them to contact me in 3 or 4 months time to remind me & I will then book them in to service my boiler. I will definitely use them again for any heating or boiler work I need doing & have no hesitation in recommending them for their excellent service, honesty & competitive rates too........ Excellent! Contacted Gassmart for a service on the gas boiler at my property. The engineer was very thorough and helpful. I would use gassmart again, good value for money.

Arranged to do a repair of my gas fire for me and made me wait in all afternoon. Did not arrive. No phone call nothing, very disappointed.
