Gary Ingham Salons are a small independent chain of award-winning Aveda salons and spas in Hampstead, St Johns Wood & Primrose Hill.

Story

Situated on Heath Street, our highly-trained creative stylists and spa technicians offer a full range of hairdressing and spa services in a tranquil oasis of calm and serenity.

We work with Aveda - natural plant-derived colours, treatments, shampoos, conditioners and beauty products.

We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and the highest levels of hairdressing and spa expertise. Over the past five years, the salon has attracted a very loyal following and in 2012 we moved to much more spacious premises and opened our luxury spa.

We look forward to welcoming you into our little piece of paradise.

Very poor customer service. Receptionist was eating whilst taking payment. Stylist ignored my 5 year old for a higher paying adult. Manager misogynistic and shockingly rude.

This is a really great salon! Always such an expert cut and all the staff consistently friendly, smiling and welcoming – it's obvious to me that they enjoy working here. Spacious premises, genuinely friendly towards my little dog and that, along with the service and expertise, has made me a loyal customer for life. I can highly recommend Maia.  Maia has been cutting my hair for about 11 years and colouring it for about 2 years.  I followed her to the Gary Ingham salon in Hampstead and was not disappointed, lovely, friendly salon.  Maia always listens to what I am after when it comes to my hair and makes good recommendations / suggestions but Maia not is not pushy.  I had been talking to Maia about starting to colour my hair for years but Maia never made me feel uncomfortable that I wasn’t quite ready for the leap …. but when I was, Maia was there ready with all the advice she has accumulated during her career and I loved loved loved the result and have kept it up!

I had my hair done by Holly, she took me from a bleached blonde to the most gorgeous natural brown. Everyone was so lovely and welcoming, was an amazing service and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you!

I went to the hair salons yesterday for the first time for root coverage and blow dry, and neither really worked. The Color did not cover the greys and they used so much product on my hair that I had to wash it as soon as I got back home. Add to the fact that my hair felt dry after the Color and I honestly wonder what just happened. The salon interior is nice but I wouldn’t go there again.

Had a bouncy blow dry here whilst visiting family and everything was excellent. Staff were warm and friendly from check in to check out. Head massage during hair wash was great and I left the salon on a wee cloud as my hair looked so good. Highly recommend a visit here.ServicesHairstyling

I used this salon for years and loved it but  my recent experience left me upset and hugely disappointed. Twice their booking system failed so that despite booking online and then calling to confirm I was not in the system/ expected when I arrived. They found me an alternative stylist who whilst pleasant totally ignored my request to leave  my ears covered and not to cut my hair too short. My hair is much too short now, I feel I hardly have any left , I dislike it and my ears are exposed. I called the salon to talk to someone in charge but was told the manager wasn’t available. Anyway no one can stick the hair back on. I think recently it has been more about what cuts are in fashion rather than what a customer wants or what suits her.

I had a fantastic cut from Ellie. She really takes the time to give you a cut that suits and works for your face shape. Keep up the great week
