I collected my 13yr old grandson who had been with friends from here, but it is a huge park with a good playground and excellent for dog walkers and for playing games. Also a lovely wildlife area
It is my local park but quite busy. Lovely play area for children and nature reserve area .
Nice little park to enjoy open green space and a little walk/run around the public path. Play area for the kids also.
Excellent open park with reserve woodland beside it, nice small children's park with climbing equipment and slides, skate ramps and half pipes in a dedicated area beside it. The park has 2 main paths and several exit/entrances beside it. Football pitch is in the larger section of the grassy area
Lovely , I was brought up there. Spent my childhood playing in it
Great playpark and workout area. The playpark also has more inclusive equipment for wheelchair users
Great place. We'll kept and maintained with outdoor gym and playground. And the best bit is just over the bridge. Seemingly small wilderness area will provide you with paths through tiny forest for a nice little walk. Will return 100%
Just went for a walk for exercise. The paths are quite narrow so everyone was very good at walking on the grass to give a wider berth during this time of Covid. The main path allows for bikes to pass on one side. The play park for the children looked good. Quite pleasant.
Living next to the park is such a bliss specially during this pandemic. This park has been recently renovated with walk ways and now we have access to the nature reserve as well. I have a toddler who always wants to run and play here. I would highly recommend people staying near by to take a break from their routine lives and spend some good time in the park..:
I've lived in Watford 40 years but only found this place the other day! Hidden away behind St Albans Road, parking is easy and there are plenty of entrances from surrounding roads. It's a surprisingly large open space, with well kept if currently muddy, as is everywhere open spaces / pitches; well-equipped playgrounds, suitable for everyone from toddlers to teens, and becoming progressively "wilder" as you go further back. Cross the stream into the nature reserve area, which includes open and wooded areas. Squirrels, foxes, bats and badgers all live here. Although it's very close to the M1 the terrain and trees keep it pleasantly quiet. Level access into the park, with recently re-paved paths make it ideal for the less-able, and even in lockdown there's plenty of space for everyone.
