All staff extremely friendly and helpful , Erin on reception who contacted me prior to our stay and greeted us when we arrived and Chris ,nothing was too much trouble. Although I had read reviews regarding the hotel has being dated, I didn't find this the case. we went as a large family ,the children were welcomed . We had breakfast both mornings and an evening meal one night, plenty of choice and value for money. Great location, will definitely return thank you.
Clean, modern, good menu and comfortable beds. Bathroom heated towel rail wasn't working but we didn't need it. Reported to reception on departure who agreed to get it fixed before winter 'proper' kicks in. Will definitely stay there again. ThanksRooms: 4/5
Stayed here with family after attending a wedding nearby. Wedding was at 2pm so couldn't check in before then unless we paid extra, so we had to try and check in after the wedding which meant we didn't get to the hotel til after midnight. Nobody was on reception. Tried unsucessfully to find anyone. Went to the bar where there was only a group of drinkers who said our key might be behind the bar. We found our key and then as we proceeded to go to our rooms we came across the guy on reception and when we said this was unacceptable he said it wasn't his fault as he was the only person there as they were short staffed. This wasn't very professional. Then in the morning we went down to breakfast. We ordered our eggs as we wanted fried eggs and these had to be cooked to order. When they were ready there was no sausages or bacon left on the self serve buffet. The server said "oh it looks like they have run out" and fresh ones could be cooked for us but would take about 10-15mins so we had to sit down and wait. Another of our party was vegetarian and the only thing she could have was egg on toast. No croissants or pastries left. So she paid £10 for egg on toast!!! For such a big company as Best Western this is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in
Nice views, good size hotel, sadly the check-in process was complicated after a 5 hour drive as we arrived 10 mins before check in to find no-one on reception. Room was fine, we paid for an Executive room, but we’re given what looked like a family room with the single bed removed! Mattress was comfy but the sheets weren’t entirely clean, with marks and dirt on one pillow and poorly tucked-in sheet. No iron in room, which we had to ask for separately despite the website we booked-through saying that one was in the room. Breakfast was okay, albeit a little rushed as we had to arrive early due to a planned power outage which didn’t actually happen and some items were missing from the menu, such as pastries. Overall, average. Wouldn’t stay again, others locally seem to review better, more attention to guests and detail would have been appreciated.

Loved it here so relaxing staff were lovely food was really good ..we enjoyed it ..definitely will be going again xxx Rooms: Lovely and clean comfortable bed very quiet xx Food & drinks: Food was good
Didn't stop there - went for a wedding. Food great, room layouts lovely. Grounds perfect for photos. Staff helpful. There were some bits of the venue which staff should look at with a critical eye. Water stained ceiling tiles, light fittings tipping .... Certainly nothing to ruin the event - just if you are charging a set amount you should be able to justify it.
Location and view over golf course is fantastic. The room was very clean and beautifully presented. Room design did not allow air flow for ventilation even with windows open. So it was very warm. TV did not work. No signal on aerial. Intent was great. Staff attitude varied. The lady who sorted out the twin bed configuration was great. Others a bit disengaged.
Very nice rooms and friendly staff. Good stop over as near the M6. Not just for golf!
Great hotel , checked in Friday , greeted well . Lovely clean hotel , friendly staff . Look forward to booking againRooms: 5/5
