After a visit to Aberdeen hospital on Monday night, we decided to treat ourselves to some chips on the way home. The place looked nice & clean and the staff were efficient but the food.... We ordered two portions of chips, two sausages & a pot of gravy. £16.20!!! I know that standing costs have increased but... We only live about 15 minutes from Inverurie but the food was already cold. The chips were hard & under-cooked & the gravy was tasteless. We left the majority of the food as it was unpleasant and poorly cooked. It is not very often that we treat ourselves to a takeaway so it was very disappointing & a waste of money. We won't be returning.
I think tonight will be my last visit. A few times it has been good, but too often it has been below par. Tonight was a real low. The chips were so dry. They'd clearly been kept too long. My king rib tasted really funny. It wasn't cooked. This standard of food should not be going out.
Chips and curry sauce were nice but the battered sausage and fish were terrible. Heaps of batter and tasteless frozen fish and hardly any meat in the sausages …won’t be back for round 2. Most went in the bin
We had 4 different items off of the menu and they were all very good. Not too greasy which is better than a lot of the chippers we have been to. A wide selection of items on the menu and friendly staff too.
Hadn't been here in years because on prior occasions the food was awful. I was told it was much improved and so gave it another go tonight. The worst sausage and chips I have ever eaten in my life. The chips were covered in oil and tasted like dirty oil. The sausage was battered to death on the outside but inside the sausage was like a dog's chew toy. I didn't know whether to eat it or call a priest to read it a prayer. I don't like giving bad reviews but this was truly terrible
My name's Drogowit and I rarely submit average reviews. They will be either 1 or 5 star and you can check my profile for more reviews. Before reading, please note I have not ordered fish and/or chips for my order as I fancied something else. Therefore I may have missed a hidden gem meal and instead I opted for something different. So. I ordered a jumbo sausage, mega burger, chicken burger and baked potato with cheese onion and egg mayo. Let's start with baked potato. It was a very decent and simple dish that was well-prepared and I enjoyed every single bit of it. Would recommend. Then we move on to the mega burger.... Probably used cheapest available meat, there were no vegetables or salad in it and bap was of dubious freshness. Would not recommend. Then we get to the jumbo sausage... I considered that one to be inedible. dough was old and hard to chew, and only forced myself to take one bite due to abhorrent smell of grease that would have better use in biofuel powerplant. Would not recommend. Photo of the sausage attached. And the worst dish: Chicken burger. By the gods, I ate alot of chicken-based products including burgers. This is by far the worst one I had in my life. There was just an old bap and a single piece of mechanically separated chicken waste slapped in the middle. NOTHING ELSE. By far the worst chipper ive ever had. Burnt chips. Batter cooked on outside but raw in the middle. Would have been better putting my money in the bucket.Wont be going back.
Unpleasant burger, cheap frozen style onion rings not homemade and still having to stand outside to order with no menu other than a QR code for fishbar app I don't intent on using again. This chipper used to be good many years ago but has definitely dropped in quality since. Sad to see but i guess the owners heart isn't in it anymore.
Good traditional chips, best I've hid in a lang time.Food: 5/5
Tried it with the seagulls,but no even they refused wouldn't advise it,had to put one star as wouldn't post nothing score we would not go back there as it's disgusting
