"I am a local gardener with 6 years experience working in community gardens and with private clients. I move around by bike and use trailer to transport materials and tools. I do not use fertilisers, pesticides and herbicides. Instead I try to feed the soil with organic matter and use mulch, to increase plant health and protect from more severe weather conditions.I see the gardens as not only the places that will please the eye but as a home to many species who feed on plants and organic matter. I think all seasons in the garden can be both beautiful and in service for us as well as beneficial for wildlife. For this I advocate for having a range of ornamental, native, wild, edible and medicinal plants in our gardens."
