We love this garden centre. The Christmas decorations and lights are fab. The kids always find a way of spending a small fortune too.. The staff who work here are a credit. Nothing is too much.
Always enjoy my visits here. Good choice of plants, good value too. Coffee and scones delicious. Well set out, pleasant to wander round and browse. Nice choice in gifts. Convenient parking and friendly staff.
Been a few times here. Lovely garden centre. Good selection of Xmas gifts & decorations and all the usual garden centre items. Only problem we came across today was the gents toilets were filthy don’t think they had been checked for a while . There are toilet brushes there so the customers could attempt to clean the bowls themselves but unfortunately some people are lazy and don’t have a high level of self respect or hygiene.
Well laid out garden centre. Has a nice cafe. The selection of outdoor plants is reasonable, there are some offers on at the moment. The houseplant selection was a little disappointing, they have the usual suspects but would be nice to see some more unusual specimens. The selection of garden furniture, tools and seeds was good although on the pricy side. As was the compost. Large car park so easy to get in and out.
Very good range of products available but unfortunately not what we wanted today. We’ll definitely be back though. Just wondering when the Carr Gate Retail Village opened. I wasn’t aware it was there. There seemed to be a table top type of event there today but I’m not sure I’ve seen it advertised. Is the Village part of the Garden Centre or a separate entity. It might have got more interest if it had been advertised.
This place has the full range of outdoor plants, indoor plants, gardening tools and fixtures, anything you can imagine that's related to gardening really. Surprisingly it also has a great range of books and toys, clothing and unique food and drink. The aquatic area has a vast range of fish for sale, some that I've never seen before. It's worth a visit just to look at the different fish in the aquariums. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The restaurant was closed due to covid restrictions, but there is a takeaway van outside. Loved this place.
Lovely garden centre all trimmed ready for Christmas. Great for the children ! Stopped for a quick coffee in the restaurant. Very busy as expected for a Saturday. Took the children into the play centre but tables were piled with plates. Food all over floor and play area filthy food on our table was not ours but was not moved during our stay
A great garden centre. With a bit of creativity and imagination, there is enough stuff here to create your own mini tropical garden, savanna grassland or even Amazon forest. The variety of decorative or ornamental trees , fruit trees, natural trees, fake trees and just plants and flowers is vast. Of course aquariums and garden fountains can be found. Looking around for solar lights for the garden? You will be spoiled for choice. Besides, you might want to get dog food and other creature comforts. You have a choice of bedding and furniture too. Being summer, seasonal goods such as BBQ pans and BBQ ovens are on display. The price of these things speak to their quality. Walking ‍ around can be taxing so the restaurant is a good place to sit down and have a nice cool drink. Wheelchair users will not struggle for access. There is plenty of parking space for your motor car. Carr Gate Garden Centre is just off the road to Wakefield from Leeds so drive a little bit slowly so you don't miss it.
Nice little garden centre, clean n tidy. Staff helpful. Toilets clean. Scones to die for. New dog grooming opened, made a great job of my dog. I'll definitely be back
Absolutely lovely visit. My granddaughter loved meeting Rudolph. Amazing Christmas display. Soft Play great value. Restaurant offered a variety of snacks & meals. Would recommend a trip to people of all ages.
