Tristan was professional, friendly and funny. He asked me exactly what I was looking for before we started, and adapted the cut slightly when I told him how low-maintenance I wanted it to be! A fantastic experience and a fabulous haircut, I will definitely be returning.
Wade is passionate about hairdressing as an art. He gently guided me to ideas to suit my face shape and colouring. I liked his opinions. He carefully separated each strand of hair for every colour foil, unconcerned at the time it took. He could envisage the outcome he sought. The best part of my five hours with Wade was watching him cut. I sat like a Cheshire cat, with a grin from ear to ear, enjoying his intense concentration. Very occasionally his tongue poked out as he worked. Laughing, Wade told me this achieved better results. For him, a good haircut was a work of art and obviously brought him great satisfaction. Each snip counted. He wasn’t in a hurry. His goal was to do the best job he could and to help every customer look and feel the best they can. He certainly achieved that with me. It was one of the most enjoyable five hours in a salon I’ve ever experienced, and I thought he did an excellent job of my colour and cut. He was fun to chat with, too.
After having two appointments cancelled recently by another local salon, my booking at Garbo's was vey last minute. Millie listened to how I felt about my hair and made suggestions. I'm so happy with the final result - thank you!!!

Tristan did a fantastic job with my hair. I've had short hair for 3 years now and this is by far my favourite cut! He really took his time and the whole salon was really clean and tidy. Looking forward to going back when it gets too long again!

After a hair test with this salon, and waiting for months without a callback, my wife decided to reach out for a gift I had planned—a full hair restoration and recolouring. We were referred by several people, so we were hopeful. Unfortunately, the lack of communication persisted. When my wife finally made contact, she tried to explain the situation, only to be abruptly interrupted and made to feel uncomfortable about the condition of her hair. The response was disheartening - 'you the one with pink hair? Well we can't work on it, it's too damaged.' There was no offer of a recovery plan or any attempt to make her feel valued. It was blunt and quite frankly, rude. I hope this message reaches those who value the human aspect of customer service. Every client deserves respect and consideration, especially when there's been a lapse in communication from the service provider. It's like hiring a personal trainer and being told in between multiples words 'I can't help you because you're not in shape enough.' This experience has shown us that the salon staff need a serious evaluation of their customer service skills. This person in particular could greatly benefit from an intensive course on how to treat a client with respect and consideration
I’m so happy with the cut and the care. Tara was so sweet and attentive to give me not only what I wanted but in a style/way that was catered to my face shape/hair texture/ and individual style. I came to Garbo’s because I saw a lady with a beautiful haircut at the local pub and I when I asked her who did her hair she said “Garbo’s”. I will now highly recommend the salon to others.
Charlotte went above and beyond to make my experience as a new client amazing. She consulted me through the whole process of going from long to short and gave me a fabulous haircut that I love, there was no rush and it was relaxing. I have had such a fantastic response to my makeover that I would definitely recommend Garbos and Charlotte.
