Decent food and building. Nice staff but nothing outstanding would recomend for large groups but overall 3 starsFood: 3/5
Had such an amazing experience eating at Garam Massala. I haven't had an opportunity to eat Indian dishes in a while, but was able to enjoy a good catch up with my friend at Garam Massala. The staff made us very welcome and since we were early bird customers we had a wide choice of seating. The menus are clear and varied giving us a great option of meals, we went with the early bird menu and let me tell you that the food here is delicious. We had papadum with a selection of sauce dips, chutney, chilli, sour etc. The starters arrived promptly, I had the onion bhaji while my friend had a chicken tikka it arrived sizzling hot, so good. The onion bhaji were big and had a side of lettuce and cucumber. I tried it for the first time and am in love with them. So crunchy outside, soft inside, a perfect starter, especially since I added some chutney to it. For the main meal, my friend ordered chicken masala while I have chosen the chicken karhai, which arrived sizzling hot in a little pot on a wooden board, with pilau rice. I don't know how they do it but it was smooth as butter, practically melting in my mouth and the combination with rice was just perfect. For the ending we ordered two simple coffees, we received some brown sugar and cream for it in addition to a little mint chocolate. The portions are good sized and we were half full just from the starters. At the end the staff brought complementary warm wet wipes. We cleaned our hands and went home with tummies full of gorgeous food. Garam Massala is definitely having another visit from us in the future. Vegetarian options: Onion Bhaji, Garlic Mushroom, Paneer Tikka, Veg Samosa, Aloo Tikka, Aloo/Chana/Mushroom Chat Puri
The poppadoms were nice and general atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. The cash only system was not explained to us the waiter said that we have chosen the cheap option therefore will have to pay cash. We had to walk to the cash machine after our meal to get some cash. The naan bread was cold and was not presented to us the way they presented it to other customers. The waiter spoke to us in a rude manner. Furthermore when the manager put the bill on the table he made a remark saying “guess how much we made from this bill, not much!” Really rude and unprofessional service. Me and my friends will not be going back.
Do not order before these shut down! Items missed off the order and paid for delivery but told us we need to pick up even thought we had paid! Food was cold and had no flavor! There is a reason they are going out of business! Rude staffFood: 2/5
Brilliant food and the portions on the early bird special were great value for money would recommendFood: 5/5
We had Sri Lankan curry, Kashmiri korma and seekh kebab. home delivery Sri lankan curry was excellent, tasty and spicy. The korma was good. The kebab was ok I believe that with the delivery it loses heat and taste. They also provide a side included not everyone does that . Overall it is a fine indian restaurant. It deserves 5 stars. The prices are ok as well. Not the cheapest though.
I know curry & they didn't serve curry. I was a bowl of spicy soup. Waiter was very very rude huffed & puffed when asked a question about the food, due to dietary requirements.
Missed items on my order and didn’t want to know after I rang up to let them know! Food wasn't that good either.Food: 2/5
Enjoyed a chicken balti silsilla takeaway - also enjoyed dining in. Medium spicy and flavoursome. Friendly service and welcoming people. Also, can get 30% off with dining card Sun-ThuFood: 5/5
The kebab was the world smallest one it had more onions than meat, the pakoras were over Cooked and dry inside and lastly the chat puri starter didn't have a fried puri the food wasn't that hot either won't be going here again look at the pic all them onions came out and not even chopped big slabs
