I first went to this restaurant about 30 years ago and have been several times over the years. It may have been redecorated since my first visit but it is difficult to say. It is cosy and really suits a group of at least three having a good banter rather than a romantic dinner for two. The food and service are okay and the portion sizes are small but maybe that is a good thing. The prices are low at just under £9 for a biryani, thus it is exceptional value for money - deserving 3 stars. It is an average but reliable choice.
Came here tonight with friends as my friend was raving about it. The food was delicious with perfect sized portions. I was not sure what to order so I asked what they recommended and he made me something that wasn’t even on the menu. Really lovely place and I would recommend.

We used to live nearby for a few years and never went there, although had heard good things about it. Then one evening off the cuff, we gave it a try and have been regulars ever since. There are very few Indian restaurants that are pretty full all week, so I always make a point of booking. We are always well looked after with a very reasonable bill and excellent food. They've been there over 30 years, so they must have got it right and I believe the decor is the original, so it's like going back to the past although no flock wallpaper, but magnificent portions. Usually crowded with nice customers. Highly recommended. Just booked for tomorrow now.
Food used to be good but now its rubbish 30 quid wasted couldnt get teeth through the king prawns so tough and chewy wont be going back
Placed a delivery order the food arrived about an hour later and was cold I called the restaurant to try to have this rectified but just not interested once they have your money best advice don't bother use a different takeaway
I used to like the restaurant since 1995 when I first went in there. Good food and friendly waiters. However my opinion has changed tonight. The waiters were unbelievable rude and unprofessional. The place was nearly empty, but the waiters were marching up and down with a grim faces, trying to rush us. We were having poppadums and not even half way through, when we were getting asked if we are finished with them, because the food was ready. What is this? A fast food place or a decent restaurant? Then the portions! 5 to 6 pieces of chicken and the rest just sauce. Not even a smile fo the guest. Never mind there are more fishes in the sea....
Decided to go here last night before a round at top golf. I've got to say though the chicken korma was really nice and tasty, the waiter was very cool and nice. Service was good. It's not a 5 star as the recommended food dish was okay at best and their mix grill was okay, nothing to shout about. The garlic naan could've been bigger. We spent 47 for 3 people. 4 mains, 3 breads, extra rice and drinks.
Please change your name to Gandh express. Worst indian I have had in my lifetime. The matar paneer was not paneer but in fact cheese cubes that were melted. The Biryani lacked flavour. The lamb chops were so-so.
Very poor quality takeaway food. I had chicken tikka main and the chicken was so full of gristle it was inedible. The chicken also lacked flavour. It is a shame as eating in the restaurant you get better quality
