Very conflicted with this review. The owner was very friendly & welcoming but that’s about as far as the positive experience goes. The waiters are also nice. The real problem is in the kitchen.nnThe chicken 65 was sub-par. Served here on the bone who does that?!. But thankfully they made a boneless version for us which was just average.nnThe anchovy fry arrived cold. We pointed this out. So they took it away and brought it back with some onions over it. It was horrible Thankfully they took it away and didn’t charge us for it.nnThe daal vadai had been made earlier in the day then microwaved. It was dry and tasteless. Lion lagers were great. So can’t recommend the place for food despite great service. The kitchen needs serious improvementsnnGet the pakoras on the counter - they’re great
We had a delightful experience dining at this restaurant. The cuisine was authentically Sri Lankan, and there was a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The dining area was spacious and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The fried food, in particular, was a standout, capturing the true essence of Sri Lankan flavors.
Gaana Restaurant is lovely if you love Tamil dishes packed full of spices- especially in Koththu Roti, Chicken Biriyani etc. The Falooda that they serve is delicious and is a great finisher for your main course meal though I will say it is a tad too sweet for my liking, personally. Service is lovely and fast, therefore great for those who are on the go or have errands to run! It's great to dine in or takeway when you're feeling peckish after a long day in Rayners Lane or just Harrow in general. It's a restaurant perfect for families, perfect for couples, perfect for friends, or even perfect for single visitors. I will definitely go there again, since the food serve is just like my mother's
