Gallagher's Pub
"One Cork Rock Legend, one legendary Cork Family mixed with the finest of food and drink Cork city has to offer, can only mean one thing - Gallagher's Gastropub is back!Having had a forced hiatus in 2020 due to a world-wide pandemic, businesses, particularly in the hospitality sector, had time to re-plan their strategies and look at what is most important to their businesses. In the case of the Gannon family, who own Gallagher’s Gastropub, since owning the establishment since 2013, the result of this reflective period has resulted in one main outcome – their menu. Working with their head chef, New-Zealand native, Russell Bast, a brand new menu has been designed that will have everyone singing their praises."

Typical pub fare served with attentive but not overly friendly service. The deep fried cauliflower was different and had a nice touch of spiciness. The Beamish pie is filling but slightly salty. The chicken burger was cooked nicely, had a nice crunch and paired nicely with the condiments.Food: 3/5
What a stunning experience! Came to Cork for a short stay, so I was really keen on trying local beers and spirits, and the staff was super friendly and helped with whiskey and bourbon and beer! Knowledgeable, assisting bartenders and waiters Overall, really sweet spot, definitely recommend Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available, quite nice selection-no pub-like food
We had a good satisfying time here at Gallagher's. Service, beer: Beamish, meals very good. We come again very very soon. Highly recommendable.Food: 4/5
Hard to fault really. Been years since I was in here, never liked it back then but now... This a complete turnaround in decor, service, atmosphere, everything. Food was excellent with large portions, service was excellent. Would highly recommend trying this very upmarket bar on the trendiest street in Cork. For me it loses a star on price. €20 for roast of the day beef, €19 for a Chicken burger, similar prices for pie although the burger and pies were very big. €11+ for starter I had etc... You won't leave hungry but bring plenty of money. Parking: Paid parking is about 1km walk.
Quite a nice restaurant, it has always been very crowded, hence my desire to go and see it directly. We came during the special New Year's Eve meal which is spread over 3 days, so it doesn't quite reflect the normal menu. The food was really good for me a salmon, my brother was slightly disappointed by his butternut risotto. The decoration remains sober and the music is sometimes a bit loud but overall it was a good experience I would come back
I have been to this pub in the past and it was decent. I went here the other night with a group of friends and every single one of us was very disappointed with our food. A few in our group got the chicken burger and had a very hard time getting through it as it was extremely dry and chewy. It was very stringy as well as being tough— so much so that I had to spit it out at certain points for fear of choking on it— which makes me think it was frozen and then reheated rapidly. It was an almost €20 burger so I would have expected it to be much tastier. I was shocked at how poor the quality was given this restaurant has good reviews and my past experience here wasn’t bad. Everyone else at our table didn’t like their food either, saying it was very bland and flavourless. While our waiters were very nice and accommodating, the manager I’m assuming he was the manager who sat us seemed quite grumpy and impatient, which gave us a bad first impression. The atmosphere was nice, it’s just a shame about the food. I left feeling hungry and ripped off. I do not think the price is justified by the food. If you want a better chicken burger, I’d recommend sticking to your local chipper. Perhaps this was just an off night for the place, but I certainly won’t be returning to find out.
Really nice spot for a casual dinner and drinks. Small menu with great quality food. Cocktail menu feels very fresh and isn't the same old usuals. Really nice staff to boot.Food: 5/5
Wow, what an amazing meal we had! Absolutely perfect, with top notch service. I hope I can go back one day!
Wonderful service, helpful staff in choosing a local beer. Fish & chips were tasty, moist fish and wonderfully crunchy batteries. The Butternut squash salad was so delicious! Vegetarian options: Butternut squash salad
We happened in here while visiting Cork and truly enjoyed our dining experience. The food was flavorful and different. We did not have to get fish and chips. The variety was good and the atmosphere friendly. We shared the restaurant with a bachelor party and other dinners. It made for a great start to our evening.
