Terrible experience.nWe purchased an 18m x 9m modular marquee, costing more than £8000 for our Rugby & Cricket Club.nOn the day of delivery, the driver told us that we'd have to handball the entire order off of the truck. This was over 1000kg in weight, it should have been taken off using a pump truck.nThat weekend we got to work on building the marquee. The instructions sent by the sales manager were garbage. There was not way to determine which bolts go in which holes. We wasted hours this was being done on a Sunday when no one was there to talk to as we are all volunteers with full time jobs.nEvery single on of the metal wires that are used to tighten the side curtains broke and had to be replaced which they sorted quickly and without issue.nThe overall quality is awful, 3 of the side panels look like they have been coloured in with tip ex.nI have been liaising with the customer service manager, who again, has been very apologetic and polite. But today made us an offer of £75 worth of Gala points as a goodwill gesture for the issues we'd had. This is an insult. I wanted to give them the time to make a decent offer to put this right. I hate leaving 1 star reviews, but I am bitterly disappointed.nWe made this purchase hoping the modular system would be easy to use, and give us a great space. The service has been polite, but poor, I would NOT recommend making a purchase of this size and investment from Gala. You will only be disappointed.
I decided to try Gala tents 4.5 x 3m gazebo as the company I usually use was out of stock.nnThe gazebo was delivered on the Friday, I used it once on the Sunday to find it had about 15 holes in the canopy. I emailed Gala on the Monday to notify them and included photos. Their manufacturer said it was my fault.nnI had the canopy collected to allow Gala to review it, they then came back to me and also said it was my fault. They advised it’s due to incorrectly setting it up.nnI have set up many gazebos and awnings due to me being involved in racing, so their excuse is rubbish. How a £600 gazebo can tear from using it once is beyond me.nnOn this occasion it’s been a bad experience. I personally wouldn’t recommend Gala tents. I would highly recommend Rock Awnings, never had an issue with them.
Package arrived damaged and I have sent photos of the scratches on the frame. I have asked for a replacement but they keep asking for pictures to assess the integrity of the frame. I DON'T WANT A SCRATCHED UP PRODUCT THAT COST OVER £800.
Can not fault Gala Tent, so impressed with my 6x3 gazebo that I’ve bought another one. Every single person I’ve spoken to at Gala Tent have been full of knowledge about their products and always polite and easy to talk to. Good value for your money too, I had mine up in 25mph winds and she didn’t move an inch she was anchored down good and proper which obviously is a must. Excellent frame and extremely tough material for the canopy and sides.nI would recommend Gala Tent to anyone and everyone, good to see there are still 5 star companies trading.
