Lovely little independent patisserie and pie shop. Surprisingly competitive prices for products of this quality. The pork pies are highly recommended... Just beware that once you've tried them, you'll likely become a regular.
After vising Weinholt's for the best part of 20 years I have never, not even ONCE, had a bad piece of food, no matter what it is. Disregard any review slating this place as you will not find a single bad item. Yes - it's a bit more than Greggs, yes - it might take a while to get served with the queues - but mark my words, you will not buy anything short of amazing from this bakery. Particularly the steak pies and vanilla slices. After multiple Michelin star meals, hundreds of brilliant restaurants all over the world, I have never experienced somewhere so consistently delicious and reliable.
Wienholts holds a special place in our hearts for long-held memories of time shared with loved ones. Back in the day the custard slices were a special treat between mother and daughter, and it’s lovely to revisit this occasionally with a trip to Alderley Edge. The selection of pastries and cakes is extensive, all made on site and beautifully crafted to a very high standard. Grabbing something delicious to eat from this lovely bakery feels like a real treat and one we savour. The staff are always very patient as we take our time deciding what we would like. The standard of cakes is excellent and well priced. We’ve sampled both sweet and savoury delights and always been left wanting more!
Popped in whilst passing through Alderley Edge. The staff were very friendly and the raspberry brulee tart was absolutely delicious. It's a long way from my house, but considering a trip just to get more!
Amazing pies and cakes. Come Christmas time, queues regularly form outside the shop for their tasty wares. Understandably.

They made the worst Portuguese custard tart I have ever had - no filling at all, just pastry. Portuguese tarts are meant to be well filled!! Never buying these again.

Probably the best Steak Pies and Pork pies in the UK. Only open Thursday-Saturday and quite expensive..but you get what you pay for.
Dreadful conversation with person who picked up the phone. Wanted to order several items. Didn't want to listen to me at all. She just kept saying I can order a pork pie. It was for my dad's 90th birthday. Not the same place it was when I was growing up there. Avoid disgusting customer service.
