I’ll be as honest as I can be, I had a Xc90 with them a month ago, car was in limp mode and some abs problem, never said I don’t want to spend much or less, I only told them to let me know how much it is before they start fixing it. After 2 weeks they called me saying they can’t fix the car as it is a wire problem and they don’t have the wire diagram ,and for the abs they said it’s also some wire thing behind the steering wheel , overall they said it’s going to cost thousands and I better scrap it, took the car to other garage , guy told me straight away what the problem is , changed the airflow mass sensor and a wheel bearing , paid £250 ,car is now flying. These guys are clueless.
Gtech Volvo is a reliable, trustworthy repair specialist. I have no hesitation in taking my Volvo to be repaired or serviced by Gary and the prices are very reasonable. I have always felt confident that the work carried out will be top notch and that they know Volvo's inside out. Recently had the brakes done on my XC70 and was expecting the bill to be a lot more than it was. They are friendly and helpful and I would recommend them every time.
Just collected my Volvo C30, Garry diagnosed the fault after the car had been to 2 previous garages. Great service and not overcharged for parts that were not required.Service: Engine repair
I've been bringing my 2005 Volvo XC90 to G-Tech for all it's servicing, MoT and maintenance needs apart from a full gearbox rebuild in 2020 for the past 6+ years. G-Tech have always been friendly, very knowledgeable and have always gone the extra mile or 2 a full set of replacement shock absorbers was a really awkward job that saw them work very late one night, as was a wheel bearing in 2022. Their prices are always extremely reasonable and fair and a small fraction of what a dealership would charge. Their knowledge of Volvos is very extensive. They also work on other makes of car. Highly recommended.
Very disappointed. Took my XC60 in for a diesel leak and health check. Was quoted £500 for brakes and pad on the front and rear and was advised that this was expensive. Shopped around and found cheaper parts and after that the garage didn't want to know. Left my car sat there for a week with no contact, didn't do any work and waited for me to arrange collecting it up despite asking them to investigate the leak. Terrible attitude because I managed to source parts at a better price and didn't even question someone else picking up the car with no notice. Would not recommend.
Gary was excellent in helping me with the engine diagnostic problem my car had. He did it quickly and efficiently and advised me what to do to solve the problem. I can't recommend using Hi-tech Volvo highly enough. Very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. I live 18 miles away in Doncaster but would use Gary's services again.
Second time of using this garage, friendly knowledgable and not too pricey..
Brilliant. Spoke with Gary initially who virtually diagnosed the fault with the handbrake on my XC90 over the phone. Arranged to take in a few days later and was greeted by Matt who knew exactly what to do to fix the issue. They sorted it more quickly than anticipated and were fairly and competitively priced. Thanks so much guys, you have a very happy customer who will travel again from Huddersfield to get my Volvo fixed with you.
We turned up without an appointment as we were in the middle of a long road trip when the car started to play up. Extremely friendly man took the time to look at our car even though he was busy. He diagnosed and repaired the fault for an extremely good price in a short time! Very happy as it meant we could continue on our holiday! Definitely recommend.
Popped in here yesterday and got some advice. The guys there were very friendly and helpful. Going to be taking my car there. I have a volvo s60 D5 that's struggling to start/sometimes it doesn't start. These guys are going to look at it for me. So I will update this review in a few weeks.
