Story

Futopia evolved as a concept after Nita Clish recognised a place in the market for a clinic dedicated to the health, as well as the appearance, of feet. Nita listened to her clients concerns as they wanted the clinical side of a chiropody treatment to not only ease the pain and discomfort of problem feet, but also to improve them aesthetically, as many were too embarrassed to show them off. It became a passion for Nita to provide a tailor-made service to address the needs of her clients, hence she combined a team of foot health professionals, Holistic and beauty therapists to work along side her.

Nita boasts unparalleled experience having worked as a Chiropodist in private practice for over 26 years. She is a Member of the Institute of Chiropodists and Podiatrists, and has also qualified with the higher Diploma in Chiropodial Medicine. Nita has recently completed comprehensive training on the new revolutionary Lunula laser for non – invasive treatment of onychomycosis (fungal nail infections). Nita is also registered with the Health Professions Council and by incessantly updating her skills with continual professional development, she will remain a pioneer of the industry for years to come.

Our aim is to provide the latest in high quality foot, hand and body-care techniques, and to source the very best products. We combine strict standards of clinical hygiene as all our equipment is either single use, disposable, or sterilised in our on-site autoclave.

Lunula Laser
Futopia is the leading North West clinic to introduce the Lunula ‘cold’ Laser, the latest technological treatment of Onychomycosis (fungal nail infection).
Fungal nail infections are an increasingly common problem affecting one in ten people in the UK and there are several different types of nail infection caused by bacteria and fungus.
Infections enter the nails and can be found in both toenails and fingernails causing the nails to become brittle, crumbly, thickened, distorted in shape, separated from the nail plate and a change in colour. The nail can turn white, yellow, brown or black. Once a nail has become fungal the condition will deteriorate and can spread to other nails, it will not recover without some form of treatment.


Lunula is the new revolutionary, low level laser therapy and it is bringing new hope to people suffering the pain and embarrassment from unsightly nail fungus. It is safe, effective and unlike ‘hot’ lasers completely painless!
The Lunula Laser poses none of the harmful side effects of oral antifungal medications and has been shown to efficiently eliminate nail fungus where others have failed. Doctors have been using the Lunula Laser in Germany and the USA for many years with incredible results.

The technology works by using two different laser wavelengths which confronts fungus in 3 ways:
1. It attacks the fungus by activating a photochemical reaction causing fungal cell death.
2. The immune system is then stimulated at the infected site to promote the body’s natural defence mechanisms.
3. Finally, it increases blood vessel formation through a process called angiogenesis. This causes a rejuvenated healthy nail growth.

Each treatment plan consists of:
A consultation carried out by a registered Podiatrist
Nail preparation and debridement where necessary
Photographs to monitor progress
Reviews at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months
After-care and preventative advice pack
Klenze sanitization of footwear

Our standard treatment package comprises of treating each area with the Lunula Cold Laser 4 times, ideally weekly with no longer than 4 weeks between each treatment. Not all fungal nail infections respond to treatment at the same rate therefore, the number of treatments required is dependent on the length of infection, recurrence and severity. During your consultation your practitioner will recommend the best package for your nails.

LCN nail reconstructions. (Wilde Pedique)
Many people suffer from diseases and traumas of the toenails and most are both uncomfortable and unattractive. Wilde- Pedique is not just a cosmetic treatment it is also popular with men this is because it’s a specially formulated elastic U.V gel which is used to reconstruct, reshape and improve the appearance of even the worst toe nails. Designed specifically for correcting:

Mis-shapen
Damaged
Dis-coloured
Fungal
Cracked/split
Missing toe nails

Even if you do not have ‘problem’ nails the glossy French finish will still transform your feet.
One component of the pedique is Acrylester Resin this special resin bonds easily to a surface whilst strengthening, Hardening but at the same time promoting flexibility this is why it’s perfect for toe nails. The combination of strength and flexibility means that the pedique will last a number of months; you can just get an in-fill when necessary or combine it with your routine chiropody treatment and get beautiful nails permanently.

LCN gels use no aggressive primers or acids so there is no damage caused to the nail plate and as the gel is so flexible it does not hinder the growth of the natural nail. It is non-porous meaning water can’t penetrate the nail so it is ideal for covering fungal nails as it aides in healing and prevents further spread of infections.

The ‘Problem’ nail/nails are moulded to shape with the special Wilde Pedique gel then they are then cured under a U.V lamp for 2 minutes. (The lamp is not dangerous and causes no changes of the skin.) At the free end of the nail the light curing white French polish is applied and cured for a further 2 minutes.

Please note that men do not have to have the French polish look and can simply have a reconstructed natural looking nail.

Once the pedique has been applied and cured the nails will then look and cut like regular toe nails. It is the perfect solution for people that have unattractive toe nails the results are incredible.
