"The Northern Monkey is located opposite the Printworks in Manchester. We have 2 floors catering for the best music of the decades. 80s & 90s music downstairs on Saturday Nights. Upstairs we have all the classics from Motown & Soul. All premier beers and great selection of cocktails. In the afternoons we provide great selection of Coffee and Tea includes free Wifi with a warm atmosphere. We also have seating outside if you just like a coffee and enjoy the fresh air."

Brilliant Bar , I go every 2-3 weeks , D.j Sean plays top 90s music , some good mixes ,The Atmosphere is great when its busy, bouncers are always cool , its how it should be and highly recommend
So I have been a complete fan of this bar when it first opened both for its vibe and for the music it played. However as founding staff have moved on to other local establishments, this place is now to be avoided. So as a intro, it's 6pm and people are out for post works drinks...not the drunken massive but that shouldn't matter. Firstly, if a bar near the Printworks needs to employ a tout to tempt you in with daft shot drink offers, you have to have reservations but hey ho. 2 cocktails for 12 quid sounds a deal. Ordered 2 mojitos and that's where it all goes south. Absolutely no rum in the drinks and when questioning it at the bar, the supervisor produced a bottle of yellow rum? Yellow? Yellow? I believe mojitos are made from white rum. What was that she showed me? So I left and so did the group of 4 girls next to me who who overheard the conversation. Trading standards should be involved and this bar avoided at all costs

Excellent night here last sat. Place was lively and dj played some good music
Fun night, right mix of ages, music, dance and friendly people. We are nearly in our 60s, we just blended in with everyone and enjoyed going down memory lane . My feet are still aching from the dancing and my voice is hoarse from the singing along...Great night
If you're too busy and understaffed to be preparing cocktails on a Saturday night, then fair enough but please take down your paper signs and switch off your digital signs advertising them :
Great music, an amazing atmosphere, with friendly staff
One of the best bars in Manchester - we always have a fab time whenever we visit here. Cocktails are 2 for £12 and there are great deals on other drinks. Atmosphere is great, everyone always looks like they're having fun!
Good place good music not the cheapest
