Built around children with staff who actually understand the complexity of different childrens needs and personalities. I’ve been taken my son here every 5-6 weeks for over a year now and they are great. But we took my 7 year old daughter here for the first time this Sunday and despite my initial reservations, they did any amazing job, total re-style and layered. Very impressed. £24 for both children. Worth the drive.
I've been there for my daughter's first hair cut so at first I was a bit worried about how she would behave...as soon as I sat her in those cute car-like chairs she was so good and staff are so kind!! They even gave a sticker to my older son who didn't get the hair cut. I can say it is a bit pricey for just a trim to a one year old girl with no much hair...but they make so much effort in keeping kids entertained.
My 7year old grandson has autisim and dislikes having his haircut. The staff were really helpful and understanding, allowing extra time for my grandsons appointment. The visit was a success, resulting in further appointments. A big thank you to all at Funky Chickens x

Great kid friendly salon, offering a quick cut to minimise little ones unwillingness to sit still for long and they know how to work with your child to get the best outcome. Very grateful this business exists, without it my son would look like a shaggy dog!
This place was great for my grandson who hates having his hair cut. The lady who cut his hair was really patient and kind. Lovely calm interior and your child can watch a video whilst having their hair cut. Ample free parking directly outside.
My little grandson 18 months loves going there. It's great for toddlers as little cars to sit in while having hair cut.
Absolutely loved it! We went to the one on the outskirts of Cardiff Centre so was a little disappointed to not find the play area or cafe, although this was my own mistake for not doing enough research. Staff were fantastic and put my little girl at ease immediately. Such a lovely little shop with handmade clothes and toys and plenty of things to keep my daughter busy. We went for the first hair it package and was more than happy with the result. Will definitely be going back, but may check out the other location next time. The cars to sit in were a little dated, not that my daughter cared and the little TVs by the mirrors also helped to keep her occupied. Would definitely recommend!
Travel from bridgend to come here for my sons haircut because staff make him very comfortable. Everytime he's been elsewhere he hates it. Staff are so calm and interactive . Love it. ThanksService: Kids' cuts
Brought my 18 month old son here for his first haircut as I'd heard such good things about the place, also it's the only hairdressers I could find that was totally child/toddler friendly. Easy to find, lovely set up inside that instantly put my son at ease. They were quick to get him settled in and he loved that the chair was actually a car with a steering wheel he could play with, oblivious to his hair cut beginning. His stylist was kind, patient, enthusiastic which put us as his parents at ease, too. We had the keepsake package and she ensured his very first lock of hair that was cut was placed safely in the little box for us to take home. They have small TVs at each station so your child can choose a cartoon/movie they love to keep them occupied. The stylist worked around my son even when he started to become unsettled, and within 15 minutes it was all done to a high standard and with minimal fuss. Would definitely recommend this place for a child's first haircut or even just as a place to go for a kid's haircut, we will certainly be returning!
