Felt like I should review it as I noticed all the bad reviews and wanted to share how happy I am here!nDefinitely since the new online booking system has arrived, it’s loads better but aside from that, the staff are all so lovely and the surgery itself a nice, big, clean building!nVery happy to have my family attend here, thank you NHS and Frome practice!
The doctor mentioned during the appointment that the allocated time has elapsed! I'm wondering if it's a business meeting or a place where people are treated?And you need to wait weeks for your appointment….nDoctors encountered at clinic ignore the patient, downplaying the issue you present. I feel like everything is heading in one direction – if you want to be taken seriously, privatization – pay and you'll get it. The NHS has really changed over the past few years.
Useless. I work out of town so the same day only appointments mean I have to drive 45 minutes to work, phone up at least an hour to get through, wait for call back, drive 45 minutes back to Frome, sit in waiting room for 30 minutes, 5 minute appointment, drive 45 minutes back to work. So the appointment costs me 3 hours driving, phone call, wait, appointment. Why on earth can't I make an appointment a few days in advance? It used to be so much better.
I've lived all over and had many GPs and can say without a doubt that Frome Medical is the best practice I've ever been with. Every doctor and nurse I've seen has been excellent, and I always get appointments same day when needed. They've been especially great when it comes to my 5mo baby - nothing is too much trouble.nMy husband and I both feel very grateful to live somewhere with such excellent healthcare. Highly recommend Frome Medical Practice to anyone in Frome who needs a doctor's surgery :
Here was my first experience.nnNeeded a form signed by a GP in order to get health care privately. Here was the journey:nCan't find email or details to submit a form online.nGo into the practice, with the form ask reception told I need to ring up a number.nGo home, ring up number, on hold, then voice mail. Try again, and again, eventually, someone picks up. They need to check with a colleague and say they will call me back in 30mins. 1 hour later, nothing, so I call and again and again no answer. Eventually, get through. I'm told I need to bring the form in and give it to reception... also paid £30nBack in I go and hand form over. 2 weeks later, they still haven't completed it it's just name, sign, and 3 checkboxes I call and they say oh yer we have it we shall give it to the GP, really?! It's been sitting around nobody actioning it. Great 2 more weeks pass nothing. I call and told its with GP but they haven't done it yet. A few days go by and finally ready to pick up. £30 and 5 weeks for 3 checkboxes and to date and sign. This was the Workflow team and blocked treatment for a month in which things got much worse.
