If you like pizza this is the best place to go to in Abingdon. Usually get it delivered & arrives within 5 minutes of delivery time requested. Reasonably priced to.
I have been ordering from these guys for years since 2009 to be exac every Friday with the same order. I always get great service and the food is pretty good too. Delivery does vary but depends on the time and how busy. During the 13 years I have ordered I have only had 3 issues which were always immediately rectified. Love this place
Really gone down hill, had missing items from our order the last two times we have ordered, not answering the phone!!!
Best chips in Abingdon!! Does anyone else find that chips are just not like they were in the 90's? They're either fries or just almost potatoes? Well these guys make REAL "fish and chips" chips!! And their fish is delicious too! I don't like cod or haddock in batter, but I love it with these guys!! So yummy it's making me hungry now!
This restaurant is not even worth the 1 star but unfortunately i have to add a star due to google. Last night me and my husband thought we would order from this restaurant. Upon ordering we discovered that we would have to wait over 3 hours for a few pieces of chicken and a kebab. We chosen to call up the restaurant and cancel the order as we was not going to wait that long when other places can do this faster. The so called “manager” was utterly rude on the phone to my husband when he called to cancel. 3+ hours later, the delivery man turned up at my door with our food we cancelled. My husband told him politely that we had called up and cancelled the order 5 ish minutes after ordering because we was not wanting to wait 3+ hours. The driver then disrespects my husband and uses abusive language towards my husband and rudely walks away. I call the restaurant as i do not expect this from a driver and the “manager” of the restaurant is again rude on the phone. I tell him i wish to make a formal complaint about it because it’s disrespectful. The manager then blames me for it because his excuse was “i order from there plenty of times” he then says “well what can i do, fire my driver i will then.” and started to raise his voice at me. I asked him politely to not raise his voice he then again yelled at me down the phone and was rude as hell. I told him i would be reporting his restaurant and his driver for foul language and i will be reporting his driver for also foul and abusive language. This restaurant has very very very poor customer services and does not care about the customers. I shall never order here again and shall not be recommending this restaurant to any of my friends or family. So poor.
I love this place. My parents used to own a chippy and also sold kebabs. So I know what I am talking about. Usually pick up, but even when asked to deliver, they are on time. The burger sauce is good. The Chilli sauce, just not as good as my mother's, but that is not enough to rate them lower!
I received a soggy vege burger with what tasted like watered down BBQ sauce last night. I don't know what's happened, but recently food from Friends has got worse and worse. It actually squelched when I picked it up and was completely inedible, as were the cold, tough chips. Won't bother ordering from them again.
Always had great service and food from here. I often ask for the donar kebab with cheesy chips and Mayo. All toppings are plenty of and the quality for me is outstanding.
My partners sister ordered a takeaway over the phone to her house however for some strange reason it turned up at mine!! My partners sister doesn't even know my address!! The sister rang up to say whats going on and the incredibly rude lady on the phone told her to collect it from mine!! Absolutely unacceptable to even consider that as an option and after much dispute with this rude lady they agreed to send her the order. When the order did eventually turn up the delivery driver had the audacity to ask for payment!!! He called the restaurant after complaining and they said no fee at this point the delivery driver dumped it on the floor and left. As a loyal customer after this i will NEVER order from here again!!!! Definitely would reconsider that ladies position within the company!!!
Just want chips today so went in and bought large chips and wanted to play by card so the guy charged me 3,50 instead oc 2,70 saying it was because of the sauce because I wanted it aside. This is nonsense because chips get sauces with it. They claim it is halal but I ordered a bacon chicken burger which in all halal restaurents it is turkey they jave actual pork bacon. We almost had this in RAmadan. I am getting fed up with all this non sense so won't be returning not ever despite liking the food if it is jot super cold and two guys there is very agreeable.
