This place used to be my favorite go to for lunch, they had such friendly staff and the food was always great. you had to get there early before their food would be sold out! recently though, things have really gone down hill. I am not sure if they are under new management but not only have they taken away the option to have medium sized burritos but they have increased their prices by a pound. i don't think I will be going there anymore which is a shame and after speaking with colleagues that also go there regularly, they will be doing the same. A real shame as they used to be so great.
Staff are friendly and courteous, however... the difference between a regular and large burrito is simply the size of the wrap - the contents of my large burrito looked tiny and lost as it was made. Also, two chicken wraps one regular, one large bought on two different days contained chicken bones and gristle. - something I've never experienced at Tortilla. Won't be going back. Poor value for money and low quality ingredients
Had the large grilled chicken burrito as the price was regular £4.95 and large £5.95. It was a bit expensive already for a burrito then the gucamole was extra 90p and that pushed it into some kind of artisan burrito price. The burrito was tasty but £6.85 for a burrito is not on. Won't be going there unless the price goes down. the burrito was really spectacular, the chicken was succulent, the right amount of heat from the hot sauce, options of white rice and brown where i chose the brown and it lent itself nicely with the beans to give the body to the burrito and the guacamole is essential to it and should come as standard not be an extra.
Average. One staff member looked like they'd literally prefer to be anywhere else, the other very friendly. Food quality was okay, £8 for an average burrito is just not worth it, but portion size was good. Depends on what you want really - im full up but wont go back!
Note that from here I got takeaway at lunch - I ordered the pork burrito with guacamole. Still unsure as to why guacamole is considered an extra, but I have seen this is like a norm in London. Anyhow, the burrito was massive, yummy and very well wrapped and presented. A couple of my colleagues ordered fajitas: I saw them, and they looked just like the burrito but a bit smaller when in fact a fajita is a completely different thing! This was a bit confusing. However, I was very happy with the size and quality of the burrito and would very much love it if we ordered from here again. I recommend it completely!
The best burrito in Liverpool Street. A great selection of fillings and generous portion sizes. The team are always up for a chat, down to earth and really friendly. Always a highlight of my lunch outings. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
Reading the review it seems that it is a bit hit and miss with this place. For me it was a hit. Good Vegetarian Salad, friendly funky service.
The original London burrito, and still one of the best. Generous portion size, flavoursome and served up quickly and efficiently. Better than Tortilla! Try the beef one.
Few minutes before train I tried to order burrito , at payment was surprised by the price and told 20% was added for guacamole. Was told this explained which it wasn't and then blamed for wasting food. Left with nothing and too much hassle to return.
Avoid the Shoreditch one at all costs. Used to love this place, but massively gone down hill. Just had a burrito with raw rice, not even slightly cooked. Portion size is about half what it used to be too. just overall a really poor experience. avoid.
