Fantastic proper old football ground that has been fully modernised but maintaining its character and identity. Away end facilities were great, well organised bar and food with excellent varieties and choice. Impressed with the stand having a lift for those with mobility issues. Ground staff were all spot on and a really good atmosphere from home fans.
A great day out for the family Took my daughters for their first game Was really impressed. She was over the moon to have her ball signed by the players. Completely cashless. So that was not great for us who had no idea. We know for next time though
The very best atmosphere in World Football by a country mile, just to go one better than Ronaldinho and Co. Great old school stadium that rocks every match. Leave a brand new stadium in an out of town industrial area to other less fortunate fans and teams. If only we could raise the capacity to allow other loyal fans to experience and add to the atmosphere.
What a match, what a day. Fratton Park did not disappoint. Very much exceeded my expectations, which were pretty high. Have only been able to watch Pompey on television and streaming so this was a bucket list event. Fantastic!
Travelled down for a 3pm Sunday Kick off. West Brom v Portsmouth. An absolutely beautiful old fashioned stadium, full of character and atmosphere. Portsmouth fans before and after the game were genuinely all lovely despite they’d lost, still very much polite, kind, friendly bunch of fans, same goes to the stewards and staff behind the bars also. One thing I will mention is parking around the ground, an absolute nightmare. Nevertheless, I found somewhere to park and enjoyed the game. Good luck for the future Pompey fans!
As a visiting supporter made to feel welcome. Love the new "Portsmouth drive through" the lift to the accessible area. Plenty of room and loads of accessible spaces. Only downfall was the lack of accessible toilets. One each end of stand. Food was a little pricy but not as bad a Wycombe. Had a good dsy despite the result.
Fratton Park, nestled in the heart of a charming neighbourhood, proved to be a delightful destination for any football enthusiast. The stadium's location adds to its appeal, situated in a nice neighbourhood that enhances the overall matchday experience. During my visit, ongoing building work was evident, showcasing Portsmouth Football Club's commitment to continuous improvement. The efforts to enhance and modernize the stadium were apparent, reflecting a dedication to providing fans with an upgraded and comfortable environment. The friendly staff at Fratton Park played a pivotal role in making the visit memorable. Their warm welcome and willingness to share insights about the ongoing developments and the club's history added a personal touch to the experience. The guided tour provided a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the inner workings of the stadium, further enriching the visit. While the construction work hinted at exciting changes to come, the existing charm of Fratton Park and the positive interactions with the staff left a lasting impression. For Portsmouth FC supporters or football enthusiasts in general, a visit to Fratton Park offers a blend of history, community, and the promise of an even more impressive stadium in the future.
Superb stadium. Combines modernity and traditional features. Good facilities although I can imagine it would be grim in the winter! and a very friendly home crowd. Might be one of my favourite grounds in the country now!
Came here for a stadium tour my sons 16th birthday present. Learnt a lot more about the club and Jack loved it obviously being a Pompey Fan. Colin was a great tour guide and a serious fan. Had great banter with him as me and my other son Charlie are Man Utd fans.
A superb "old school" football ground with a brilliant atmosphere! The recent upgrades mean there are plenty of bars and food outlets on site all around the ground. Plenty to do before matches too with the new fan zone doing DJ sets, penalties, top bins and other games. Fantastic.
