Stopped here for a few beers at the end of a days walking. We had muddy boots and three dogs, we were warmly welcomed in. There's a lovely open fire which the dog's loved We didn't eat here but the menu looked nice and reasonable priced. Worth a detour if you're walking part of the south downs way.
Love it. Friendly service and quick tasty food. Beer garden was fairly busy when I arrived but they're not slow. Definitely rate the ceasar salad for quick light meal. Dog friendly + AF beers & ciders.
Very friendly staff and delicious hand made burgers. The garden is spacious and with a cold pint of ale an excellent stop over.
I'm Italian, a difficult customer about food especially when I'm tired from work but I must say that finally after 3 years in England I ate the first good double cheeseburger, huge portion, I couldn't finish it! fair price and always smiling staff ..
Lovely village pub stopped here for lunch on way back home to Bristol and Sunday roast beef and wife had lamb , lovely meals and drinks too thank you . Dog friendly too
We stopped whilst walking the South Downs Way so review is made from a walker's point of view. Location excellent. Service excellent. Prices reasonable. The best bit. They offer items from the main menu in half portions at very reasonable prices. This is great when you're in the middle of a longish walk and don't really want a large meal. Great place for walkers to stop for lunch.
A little country pub with a simple menu of slightly dated classics. Up side is its not overly prices and the burger was huge and surprising good. They were a little stretched on the bank holiday weekend and one of the two lady's could have done with just getting on and serving instead of flapping how busy they were. The 10 customers at the bar don't need to hear about your issues and concerns when all they really want is a pint, some food and to return to there family's. Otherwise it was a nice spot to kill an hour or two just don't be in a rush here
Visited with Granddaughter, her husband and 3 of our Great Grandchildren. Very friendly staff and good selection of food and drinks. Great service in lovely pub. Dog friendly too. Set in a beautiful village. Great outdoor space too when weather is good.
Had a nice lunch today and were made to feel welcome even though they were busy with several Xmas dos. Very nice food, good service and attractive pub inside. Would certainly recommend.
Was visiting friends in Billingshurst who had tried this establishment a month earlier and thought we would like it. They weren't wrong. I had the gammon dish and was amazed at the size of the portion. Brilliant value for money. We all came out of their full up. All the staff were very professional and friendly. Will definitely go back when next visiting our friends.
