Great location and the interior decor is top notch. Really does hit the mark with the retro American dinning experience. The staff great and approachable. Food tastes good. Some areas it can be a bit pricy but if your having a day out with the family, it's worth a visit.

It is what it is. The food is good. It is not expensive. But... The service is openly hostile and at no point are you made to feel as if you are welcome or your custom desired. The staff appear on the verge of mutiny... Perhaps they are or should be. If you are of a sensitive disposition it is possible you may cry, if you are easily wound up I would avoid as you are likely to leave seething with rage. If you just want some unhealthy food at a good price, then deal with it!

Firstly, I'd like to mention the decor. This is a traditional Frankie and Benny's set up, with noir photos of the original founders and family, such a nice feel and really takes you back. I have been to some quality F&Bs, but this is a lackluster location. The food is just "alright" and isn't anything special. Service is kind of robotic and when they ask "is your food alright", there isn't time for you to respond and even then, there isn't any feeling they would care. And when when food is brought, there isn't any consideration whether you would like any condiments. Food is around the £8 marker, but doesn't feel like its worth the cost, as the service isn't good.

Visited today as a table of 12, not been for a while. Usually find Frankie & Bennies ok but tonight was the worse experience I’ve had. Firstly throughout the server wasn’t attentive at all. Whenever we wanted to get his attention and he walked past he just doesn’t seem to keep a lookout at the tables. This particular server was the reason myself and some of our group stopped coming here many months ago, obviously nothing has changed. As starters were brought out. I asked to order a drink and the server said he’d take the order once the starters were out. Then he forgot and went off serving other tables. Finally I got to order the drink when he returned to order the mains. For mains I ordered a well done steak. Now I know well done is what it says but my steak arrived in virtual charcoal state. It wasn’t edible it was that overdone. It was probably the worse steak I’ve had in over ten years. When I finally ordered the drink we also ordered a cocktail, Purple Rain. We were told it may be ten minutes which was fine. Firstly, now from the look of the guy at the bar he obviously was new and didn’t really know how to make some drinks. After ten minutes we spotted our drinks sat on the bar. They stayed sat there for five more minutes before we finally got them. Then we tried it and it tasted awful. After another 10 minutes trying to get the server attention we finally asked for it to be returned which thankfully he did. Finally we also realised that our initial drinks at the bar (Stella and Malibu/Lemonade) we’d been charged £15. We queried this and had to get this refunded for the correct amount. (The new looking guy at the bar has served us). Not a great experience and we’ll be thinking twice before returning or recommending.
