Holy Smokes! This place is the Duck's guts.. We're here in Halifax for a short stay from Australia and came across Frankie & Benny's.  The place has a great 50's New York vibe and is beautifully decorated.   The menu is American-Italian and has heaps of choices.  The food is fresh and tasty in a traditional style.  I loved the atmosphere, the food and the staff are very cool.   I give this place a strong 10 from 10.

Massively overpriced. £10 for this Spag Boll, no garnish or any sort of Italian cheese no garlic bread. Just wet spaghetti and an also very wet prob to stretch it out more, could have cooked it at home from a jar, ragu with the bare minimum of meat, packed out with diced carrots. Maybe £1 of ingredients. Had better from the smart price range at supermarket. £5 starter of meatballs which have shrank every time I've visited were slightly better but had a distinct taste which reminded me of freezer. Almost £3 for a small cup of ice with a bit of apple juice in it. Overall a ridiculously expensive £36 early tea for me and a child which even after £8 off with vouchers was about twice the price it deserved. Won't review the service, there was none to speak of. Though special mention for refusing to believe the voucher from the F&B app was a legitimate offer.

Updated review first visit in a year we went in the morning around 11am very quiet with one table seated there was two staff present one on the floor and one in the kitchen. The service was very poor she might of been having a bad day but it felt we was going to view a body at a funeral home not have breakfast. The food was good which was the only positive from the visit the cook was constantly looking and staring at us eat. We paid via the app out of convenience due to one member of staff present and she was tucked away in the corner wrapping cutlery out of sight she was sure to say thank you and farewell by the means of looking up and giving a blank expression. Overall good food no complaints hence the 2 star review and not 1 star the service and atmosphere was the worst F&B experience we have ever had probably why we was one of the only ones sat in there and other outlets nearby looked rather busier.

Friendly good clean restaurant. Staff attentive upon arrival, even though we all arrived at different times. Once ordered, food was hot and arrived in a reasonable time, however I wasn't keen on the dessert, a frozen lemon meringue and another member of our party didn't enjoy their dessert either and believed it tasted odd, but overall a pleasant experience had.

Now I am single and don't want the awkward solo dining experience so I order from Frankie and Benny's on deliveroo. It's always a good experience! I dislike the plastic/cardboard packaging used but it takes two minutes to dump that gorgeous food onto a plate. The food is always amazing, consistent and comes quick. The drivers are generally timely. A+ service all round. I even noticed on my last order a lovely note  what more could you want!

I feel bad for leaving such a poor review as the service staff are very pleasant. However, I've been a thew times and the kitchen side of things are very different. The food they provide is completely different to the food provided by other local restaurants with the same franchise, and when there not busy they just stare at the customers. We have been there a few times now with different friends and no one has been satisfied with the food. Sorry guys, this is the first negative review I have ever left, it needs addressing. I don't think I will give them a forth chance to cook me a bad meal.

We have just been for an awesome family meal. All food was spot on came out pretty quick. Tony our waiter was amazing he was very attentive his customer service was second to none. Thanks for everything really made the meal.

Booked in here for dinner with a friend as they offer gluten free options for me. The gluten free spaghetti Bolognese was delicious. Our waitress, Sophie was excellent and attentive and she fetched the manager as had to go through the gluten free menu with me. Tony the duty manager very good and thorough - pleased they take it seriously.  Had some vouchers so even better as well!!

Fantastic service from our server Garry! He took our order without noting it down and got everything correct, made sure we had absolutely everything we needed, nothing was too much trouble. Our party was 3 adults and two children aged 9yrs and 3yrs with one adult being gluten free. Garry and the Halifax branch were great!
