We were advised to try Foxtons by the owners of the guesthouse we were staying in and really enjoyed our visit.nnWe had two starters, the pate and the black pudding with poached egg. Fabulous portions and delightfully presented.nnOur mains were Fillet Steak and the Traitors burger, and once again, both were well cooked and presented. The portions were more than enough, and the member of staff who attended to us was pleasant, friendly, and attentive.nnLovely little spot!
The Sunday roast Beef really is something special, and that alone makes Foxtons a must visit.nThey're really dog friendly, too. Your four legged friends get a mat to lay on and a bowl of water waiting for their arrival
We stayed in the apartment above which was great. We had two breakfasts and two dinners in Foxtons. Service was very good and food just excellent great beer too! Highly recommended.
Busy restaurant in the middle of Berwick upon Tweed.nnReally excellent menu. Staff are very helpfull and quick with the courses.nnParking on the street.
On entry this looked like the perfect place for a meal unfortunately it was only going to disappoint, from uneven tables that nip the skin on your arms to less than mediocre food, the ribeye was a flat tasteless cut of mean and more closely resembled a pan steak, the Fillet steak rare was also very bland and seemed to be lacking any sort of seasoning, but dowsing it in peppercorn sauce was my only option for some flavour, the chilli burger meat was very dry and apart from looking really good that was as good as it got, the garlic bread is more like garlic flavoured bread instead of actual garlic bread, the Muscles look the part but somehow they have managed to make them completely tasteless, some food was piping hot others on same plate was borderline cold, mac n Cheese tastes like kids mac n cheese out a can, 2 full meals were left and 1 was kindly refunded, decent drink options, dog friendly, good atmosphere and reasonably priced but when spending £200+ id rather spend less than £50 for a few pizzas and chips from OzKan’s on main street which was lovely.
