This is a great place if you like small (it can only seat around 20 people around the bar), authentic old fashioned pubs. One of the few places that has not been swallowed by a big pub chain. The service is sometimes a bit slow, as the owner is having a chat with the regulars, but that's part of its appeal. Its dog friendly and the are always a couple of dogs around. It seems to have regulars of all ages, from the older people who come in with their dogs for a pint and a chat, to young ladies who enjoy a bottle of wine at the bar. In the winter there is always a fire going. The food is good but not cheap, and it has a separate large restaurant area and a big bear gsrden. Parking space is ample. We like it a lot!

Another great pub to visit. The food was delicious and plentiful. A complimentary starter whilst we waited for our orders was a welcome surprise. Must try their dip with beetroot and mint in yoghurt! A very welcoming owner who straight away noticed us walk in assured us twice in 5 minutes that she will be us shortly. Service was great. 4 🌟 given because the pub closed at 3 pm and I didn't get to try their desert.

Best Sunday roast for miles. Super friendly staff. Loved it and the enticing menu will bring us back soon
