Connor, Martin, David, Dale, Robin, Cindy and Lauren all make our visits to the Fox & Hounds an enjoyable one. Staff become friends and I have never been disappointed with the experience or food. Vegan options are fab and the staff have extensive knowledge on gin, rum, whisky and cocktails. Such great atmosphere and one of the reasons why visit so often.
The Fox and Hounds regularly wind awards for being the best pub in Renfrewshire, and deservedly so. It’s got lovely atmosphere - particularly in winter with the open fire; friendly, attentive and knowledgable staff if you want a lecture on single malt whiskies this is the place; local beers on tap try the Dargavel brewery offering; and dogs are welcome. The food is absolutely top class - we’ve never been disappointed with a dish. There’s a nice restaurant but we prefer to eat in the bar lounge with our Labrador curled comfortably under the table. The Burns night dinner has been our favourite so far. This is our favourite pub ever.
Lovely restaurant experience for dinner, atrentive staff and food was top notch.
It's been a while since I last visited, as I no longer stay local. The reason for our for being there was to remember and celebrate a great friend who suddenly passed away. Although a sombre meeting, all friends and family made it as celebratory as possible. Food was lovely, and staff were excellent. All areas were spotless. If ever in the area again would definitely visit.
Had a lovely mid week meal here. There was plenty to choose from ok the menu, staff were friendly, polite and efficient. The pub is a lovely traditional place, with as expected, loads of hunting memorabilia dotted around. Hoping to get a shot sitting by the fire one day! Heading back again with more family as I enjoyed it lots.
We often come here for food and drink. Great atmosphere. Shame they got rid of the old non alcoholic beer on draft - the new one isn't nice! But good that they have it and other non alcoholic options. Food is good too.
Great food and friendly staff. A new menu has really changed this place for the better. The breakfast buffet is worth a mention too. If you go, grab a pint of Disco Forklift Truck... it's outstanding!
Food and drink was good but service not so good. Was going to order a sweet but empty mains plate sat on our table for 20+ mins and no sign staff coming to our table too busy talking to customers sitting at the bar so we got up, paid our bill and left. Get service right and it's a great pub for beer and food
Very disappointing Christmas meal. Seated upstairs in a drafty cold corner with no festive ambience. Table setting had no glasses or dessert cutlery. Had to ask for wine list. Soup was cold and a mix up with another starter. No Brussels sprouts with turkey dinner! Asked if we wanted tea or coffee not included not even a mince pie! Very poor considering the cost!
Went on a cold Sunday afternoon. The place was freezing. It was warmer outside. Transpired they did not have the heating on and only put it on when we said about the temp. In the restaurant. People were sitting with jackets and wooly hats.
