Came with a group for lunch. Everyone enjoyed their food. Good menu. Pleasant surroundings. We were a group of 12 and it would have been nice if tables could have been put together so that we were all together. However we enjoyed our time. Would definitely return.Service: 5/5
Just been here for dinner 28/02/2023.. The food is very good and tasty we both had the fountain burger it was so good. Both my partner and myself are gluten free and there were plenty of options not always listed on the menu the staff were friendly and inviting if I lived closer I would visit more often. But you should visit. We did not stay in the room so that is the only reason I could not mark it.
Booked Sunday lunch at the Fountain Inn last Sunday. Lovely warm pub, excellent service and the food was really really good. All fresh vegetables and the turkey was . Thanks for a great experience, will Definitely be back!!
We planned to go to the Woodman Inn for lunch which was closed on a Tuesday even though there's nothing on the website or pub itself to let us know that. Really pleased we walked over to the Fountain Inn! The food was great and the staff were fantastic Made us feel very welcome with our dog.
Stunning food! Booked for 11 of us on a weekend. We had a lovely private room which was warm and welcoming. Menu choice was great, food was simply stunning we had starters of chicken goujons, Brie and spring rolls then lots of different mains. Steak was beautiful, tarragon chicken was perfect, pork in plum was stunning. Chicken goujons in their own home made batter which is light and tasty. Service was fabulous - friendly staff, great team and excellent service. Great night!

We've just spent four days at this lovely Inn. Perfectly located for exploring the Forest of Dean and beyond. Very comfortable rooms, well appointed. The staff are lovely and so helpful. The food was excellent, we didn't have any complaints whatsoever and will return at some point. Thoroughly recommended.Rooms: 5/5
Ate two evenings running here and really impressed with the food. The wild boar sausages were superb and the fresh vegetables were cooked perfectly so they still had some bite. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. They do allow dogs in the bar area so if, like me , you're allergic to animals mention it when booking and they'll sit you in the restaurant. It does get extremely busy so you do really need to book to be sure of a table.
Visited several times, never been disappointed with beer or food. Looking forward to next visitService: 5/5
The staff are very considerate and helpful, food was great and the room was excellent. The Inn has been carefully and sympathetically renovated. It is in a perfect location to explore the Forest of Dean. I certainly hope to return in the future.Rooms: 5/5
