The place is a proper guitar shop with staff who know about the products,not just shop assistants. Good prices for an independent retailer and the piece of mind of having someone to ask advice on your purchase. I believe we should support local and give our custom to our own shops rather than order online with some faceless monolith.
***** I fully recommend Foulds Guitars. They are amazing, knowledgeable people that go above and beyond for you ***** I went into Foulds Guitars in search of a hard case for a very old bass guitar. I was desperate to get my late Dad’s guitar over to my brother in NYC but everyone and everywhere I asked told me they didn’t have a case suitable it was very old and fragile. The guys at Foulds were completely different. They weren’t going to give up and kept bringing out different cases to try. They showed a lot of respect for the guitar that obviously meant a lot to me and eventually found a case suitable. They then searched for a cardboard box that would be fit for shipping it in and brought out loads of packaging to make sure it was secure and charged no extra. They gave me so much advice about how to make sure it was secure, what to do and what not to do, researched into the value of it so to advise me what to insure it for etc etc etc. And to top it off, carried it to my car for me and helped me squeeze it into my very full Fiesta. They were amazing and so passionate and just generally such kind hearted people. I sent the guitar exactly how they advised and with the company they advised and it got there UK to NYC within 1 working day and amazingly all in one piece! I will forever be grateful for the respect, advice and just general loveliness about something that meant so much to me. Thank you! Charlotte
What a blessing of a Guitar shop. The staff are incredibly well educated, experienced and most importantly equipped with all the necessities for your guitar needs. From being able to supply you with the best equipment to repairing, maintaining and setting up your beloved instruments. They’ll most definitely handle/treat your guitar like the gem that it is. Foulds Guitars are a cut above the rest in my honest opinion. Second to none. PS. I had purchased a rocking Blackstar amp and had my brand new Les Paul set up. Thanks to the guy that played it beautifully at the shop while setting it up, was music to my ears ;!
Excellent business and ace customer service. Nothing is too much trouble. Came in for a minor repair and I was able to wait with it, only taking 10 mins. Would recommend and will be back again. Thanks alot.
Brilliant guitar shop, like the cave of wonders. What looks from the outside a smaller guitar shop, tucked away along a small side street surprises you with its separate boutique room designed specifically for acoustic guitars. A wide range of guitars, electric and acoustic suitable for all price ranges. I particularly loved the huge selection of orange amps!! Staff were very friendly and helpful, on this occasion I only left with a t-shirt, but I will definitely visit again.
The main shop that sold everything, listed on google as being on the Strand, as now closed, but Foulds Guitar shop is now found just off Saddler Gate in an arcade complex. A great shop with friendly knowledgeable staff with lots and lots of guitars to try

Went with my partner to look for her 1st guitar and had a fantastic experience at Foulds. We were totally looked after by the incredibly knowledgeable staff who helped my partner figure out what exactly she wanted without any hard sell! We'll definitely make the journey down to Foulds again. Can't recommend them enough!!
