Last minute food, chip portion was unbelievable & the cod was amazing. Curry sauce outstanding too. They had problems with the card machine but its expected in this town! Will be visiting again, value for money in the current climate too! Parking: Plenty parking available.
Absolutely amazing. Best chips we've ever had. Cannot rate them highly enough. Good pricing, nice staff & clean shop... Absolutely all perfect.
Up there with the best Squires in Braunton and Lakeside in Poole . Fish coated in a thin crispy batter and delicious, chips were very good and not greasy, add mushy peas and pineapple fritter and a really good meal for 23 quid large portions
Came into Blandford forum craving fish n chips. After failing to find somewhere we found that this place and were skeptical at first. I can safely say I'm glad we stumbled upon it. The fish was hot, fresh and delicious. The portion of chips was enormous! Overall a great feed and will definitely come back for a lunch special if I'm ever in the area again.
Just had our meal. Really nice and freshly prepared. Fish was all fish with a lovely batter that was not too thick, unlike some where the batter is two thirds of the fish.Staff were very friendly and efficient. Thank You and we will be back.
Great fish and chips best in Blandford infact, however they could do with a little customer service training. stood in a queue of 11 people with no orders being taken for 15 minutes, it would be nice to be acknowledged by at least one staff member. Super disappointing. Left with no food.
This chippy has just changed hands. These were the worse chips that I have ever had. All crispy bits and full of grease. Could not eat them. The chicken burger coating was so full of oil that it was falling apart. Such a shame because it used to be very good.
I only ordered large chips to share, however we were disappointed by them if I'm honest. Rather greasy and very few good sized chips; most were miniscule off cuts around 1cm or less. I felt quite bloated for the rest of the evening. The refit does look nice, however.
Starving lorry driver parked up for the night. Wasn't keen on walking half hour each way in the rain but I am so glad I did! Cod & chips, jumbo sausage and curry sauce. Chips were a good portion, came in a paper bag was a bit strange but tasted nice enough. Sausage was well cooked. Curry sauce was tasty. Customer service was excellent, friendly and polite and very helpful. Now, the fish. The fish is the whole reason I'm writing a review. Absolutely, without question the best fish I have ever had in my entire life! Born and bred in Plymouth, lived in South Wales, Staffordshire and travelled the length of breadth as a lorry driver had fish and chips from all over and THIS COD TOPS THEM ALL! Perfectly cooked, chunky fish, nicely flakes. Good size. Batter very thin, light and crispy and beautifully cooked. 5 stars. What can I be picky about? No delivery so had to walk half an hour to get there and my paper bag tore in the rain on the way back. Literally my only complaint. But how beautiful was that fish! If you're looking for a Gert 'andsome chippy, this is the place, it was bloomin' lovely
Passing through Blandford last night, stopped here for Fish and Chips just before closing time. The fish was beautifully cooked and the large cod really tasty. The extremely generous 'regular' portions of chips were also beautifully cooked, dry and crispy outside and fluffy in the middle. Some of the best fish and chips I've ever had. The only downside is the fact we are not local to the area, otherwise we'd definitely be eating here again.
