Went to one of the music gig events - this one Bootleg Blondie. Great setting with okay prices for food and drinks. Sound was good and also you can get up close to the stage if you want. There is some seating although once the music starts you just want to get up and dance. Overall well organised and the venue felt very safe. Historically the location is good with lots of atmosphere. Recommended for music or a visit. There is a coffee shop with some food options. Again, good.
Both an Interesting & striking looking landmark on the Northern tip of the Wirral & right on New Brighton beach. It's an Old sea Fort built during the Napoleonic Wars over 200 years ago. It's purpose to prevent the fleet or Armada sailing up the Mersey & invading England & all her Glory . Nowadays the Fort, still in immaculate condition houses a pub & restaurant which is open daily & welcomes dog's ‍ which is always good after a walk along the beach & around the Perch Rock at low tide...

Really nice little place hidden inside the Fort. It's small and cosy inside with friendly staff. It was seemingly a military mess bar in the distant past, with a few reminders seen in the decor. There are a few small tables for 2/4 and a few bench style for 8 or so. We've only had coffee and toasted breakfast sandwiches, but they have more substantial items on the menu, if you are looking for a meal. Give it a look, you might be surprised in a nice way

We went to the cafe there and sat in the back area as the cafe was full. Lovely atmosphere but it could be made to look more appealing.....? Better band posters on display !Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
The bar/cafe is open to all and has some nice food and good drinks. The escape rooms need to be booked in advance. We did one one yesterday and it was fantastic. I have never done one before, but my partner and I really enjoyed it. The world war 2 theme was really cool and it was great to actually get into the fort. The the actor who guided us through always stayed in character and just made the whole experience awesome.
Came for a concert. I have never been here, I live across the water in central Liverpool. How in the many years I haven't wandered over this direction when the weather is nice borders on criminal. Surrounded by long stretches of beaches on both side, it stands above all prominently. Inside the fort is a cozy beer garden. Great place to enjoy the warmth of a day. Grab some food at the Mess it's worth it . Gonna hop that 433 bus more often now.
Lovely cafe, great location in this iconic building. Friendly staff ,good choice of snack meals, desserts and drinks and reasonably priced. Indoor seating does allow dogs but also has outdoor seating at front and rear of cafe. We'll worth a visit while on day out to New Brighton.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
Absolutely beautiful place. The cafe is so comfortable with an open log fire, keeping us warm on a cold day. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. I love places that accept dogs, and they even have a dog menu! My dog Theo loved having his sausages after a run on the beach.
