Had arrived at 3:30pm for a jolly down the coast and was hoping not too late for finding a vacant space. I was plenty surprised how busy Aldeburgh town was. So many visitors! This car park was three quarters full by the time I'd arrived, Was very pleased to find enough choice of spaces! This car park itself is served with 79 spacious spots, both for cars and coaches. Over the embankment, is the Sea itself. There's an adjoining public toilet very handy after a long drive up. There's a chippy a few minutes walk away, with the Town Centre a little more. The car park appears well maintained, kept clean, and fairly lit. There are a few nearby residential houses where they keep some small sailing boats too..so admire away!. To pay, use either cash or download/use the RingGo app via your mobile. £1.50 for my 2 hours stay was what I felt was a bargain compared to what I'm used to. Added bonus, Aldeburgh is served with a glut of car parks, many charging £1.50 as a minimum, and there's even free parking, if one doesn't mind 'roughing it' Slaughden Rd, alongside the beach front, southern tip of the town.
Car park at end of Aldeburgh High Street. Facilities plus disabled all on the corner near the disabled parking spaces. You can walk either way along the path & if you want the town you can walk along Crag Path alongside the beach. There's plenty of parking spaces here & with a 'real' pay machine too................all flat tarmac, easy walking.
This is the main car park in Aldeburgh. A very nice coastal town. The fish and chips are very popular, but do not rush to get your food. We bought ours just after 12.00. The fish was nice, but very oily. It was fried before the oil was up to temperature. The town does get very busy.
There seemed to be a pay and display car park here but totally free parking right next door. Why anyone would pay I'm not sure.
Parking is at the end of the town. Good location and near one of the best fish and chips shops in town
This was our first trip to Aldborough, so not knowing where to park,drove through the town you'll we came to Fort Green car park. We'll spaced and laid out,if I remember correctly, parking for all day under a fiver and the bonus of nice clean toilets in the corner of the car park. Easy short walk back to main street from here or onto promenade and beach from the other side of the toilets. Will use this one again.
