Great location , reasonably priced and friendly staff. No maid service while we were there over the 3 nights, but reception quite happy to swap your towels and give more pillows if needed. Shout out to Ben on reception who went above and beyond for us on check in when we requested a room change.Nothing was too much trouble.
Decent hotel in a great location for Blackpools nightlife & tower etc. Walk straight out the hotel onto the beach at north pier. Breakfast basic but does the job. Good sized bed with a view of the pier. Hotel looks derelict as the ground floor is being converted into a restaurant from what we understand. No storage & not enough sockets in the room but you get what you pay for. Cheap & cheerful, good value for what we paid. Would stop there again. Thanks.
Having booked to do a two night stay at the hotel I read the reviews and thought I'd made a big mistake. How wrong I was. The entrance us a bit run down but once inside, it's basic but clean and tidy. For the price I paid I was more than happy and would definitely go back. Staff were very friendly as well which these days isn't always the case.
Perfect location - close to the train station, right on the promenade, near to the north shore tram stop. Room was clean, decent sized and had a smart TV, which was nice. The breakfast looked decent, plenty of people seemed to be enjoying it but we didn't partake. Unfortunately the room was let down massively by the beds being so uncomfortable, it was like sleeping on a concrete bench. My partner & I had an awful night trying to sleep on them, not helped by the paper thin walls and noise from other guests noisily making their way back to their rooms at all hours. We stayed one night of the two nights we paid for, preferring to pay for an earlier train home and lose money than spend another night here.
Positives first... Location wise its fantastic as its right on the pier and attractions. Plenty of food choices with Wetherspoons and Yates on the doorstep. Staff are friendly and the bar area is nice.... Negatives... The room felt clean until we pulled back the sheets. Dirty sheets, hairs all over and the pillows were disgusting. Bathroom was horrendous... Dirty, mouldy and the flooring wasn't any better. Shower screen had been replaced with a curtain so if we even dared to use the shower, the floor would be wet through. Stopped with family in 5 rooms in total.. out of them 5 only 1 was nice and clean throughout. Was told on check in that the hotel was fully booked so no way to get another room.. Sorry to say I won't be stopping there again.
The hotel was safe and secure, as were the rooms. It was clean but a little dated and cold. Breakfast was disappointing and hardly any food was left and it was a good hour before breakfast finished. Overall a good hotel and in a great location
Needs a freshen up. No plugs near beds. Basic TV & coffee making facilities. Room was clean enough, some of the communal areas could do with a freshen up though. Friendly staff and no noise in our room at the back.Rooms: 3/5
It was over priced for what you got. We had a sea view room but could hardly see as the window was filthy. The cleaners didn't come in every day. A good location but the hotel definitely needs attention.
What amazing value . I booked the hotel due to its location . We were visiting the Blackpool Opera House. The price of £38 seemed too good to be true . It’s not !! A quick check in and into our room . Plenty of room with a very comfortable bed and bathroom . All areas of the hotel were clean and fresh . This will be my hotel of choice when I visit Blackpool. It a close to the North train station and the motorway . There’s discounted parking close to the hotel. Local travel is close by via bus or the historic Blackpool tram network . I will be returning for when for future visits
Vile! Me & my girlfriend checked in & was given a room key. Then became the fun, full bin, used towels in the shower, bed that had clearly just only been left! A birthday card from Carl to Karen on the side? Had they given us a duplicate card to someone else’s room or just too lazy to clean rooms? People may say for the money it’s good… NO it isn’t! Spend a little more & go elsewhere
