Fabulous local site for walks and events! We have attended many seasonal events and featured day events with the children over the years, always a pleasure to support the upkeep of a peice of history and beautiful landscape. The grounds are kept tidy and accessible for lovely walks and exploring. The volunteers do a wonderful job with events.
"Wow, that's incredible!" We were both surprised when my partner said that about one of the exhibits, but the museum is far more interesting than you'd expect. Definitely worth the entry fee. Location is good too, next to the ruins of a medieval AbbeyVisited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
6.50 to get in Staff was friendly. There was a great little dvd that lasted for 10 mins telling you the history. The place is clean and well layed out There is a shop and facilties for children to play The overall visit would take you no longer that 60 to 75 mins at very best
A fascinating little museum! Very interesting to see how needles of all shapes and sizes were made, and also the hard and dangerous lives that the workers endured. Many hundreds of examples of different needles, needle boxes, etc and then a couple of floors of workshops showing different parts of the process. Small car park close by; teas/coffees/cakes and some light snacks; toilets. Great play area for small children. Tickets are good for return visits - but you will have probably seen it all on your first visit.
Very visual and knowledgeable experience.. It was good to see you mill that was providing 90% of the world's Needle's at one point in history. Well kept and informative museum.. The pop up of Marvel art was also beautiful..!!
The place maybe small but it was very interesting. Definitely a place to take the kids because of the play area. Coffee is average but everyone is friendly and nice. I think their magnet is definitely worth buying! Be sure to bring something to feed the ducks by the mill if you have kids!

Little hidden gem near Redditch and the retail centre. It's free to access the grounds, which includes a walk around the abbey ruins. For a small cost you can visit the museum and the ticket covers you for a repeat visit within the year. They hold different events, even a Marvel comic one at one point. They have a little souvenir shop, mobile cafe, and toilets on site. We're looking forward to the playground with a big sandpit being reopened around Easter.
Interesting look at the making and history of this industry. Displays and the remaining parts of an original factory.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
