I absolutely adored this place when I visited!!! My mum and I were able to sit outside on a beautiful sunny day. The coffee and cocktails were on point and the food was delicious! Definitely recommend!!!
Food was good but took us 20 minutes to get the bill after asking only to find a 10% service charge was added to our total. A service charge for a table of 2 - so not overly happy by that
A group of 7 women met for lunch. It was absolutely fantastic. Our server was John. He answered our questions with kindness and expertise. Everyone loved their meals.
Went for a meal on Saturday night with family. It was very busy as expected, but we were seated at our table a little early, and service was fast. Fish and steak were good, the venison and haggis croquettes were perfect only thing I felt wasn't great was the bread starter came with two oils and no balsamic vinegar. Fairly priced, about £30 a head for two courses
Really nice inside and staff are nice. Food is very disappointing, there isn't much of a selection which is frustrating, went for a bog standard burger and chips in the end. Chips were nice and the burger is average, came on a cold bun. If I had to choose I would go to a five guys for a burger. It was overpriced as well for what I got.Food: 2/5
My daughter was visiting from London and on her final day I took her here for coffee and cake. The front end was busy so we went through to the back. A guy was behind the barthick beard and moustache. He came over and said very bluntly... "What do you want?"... We ordered coffee and cake and he said... "You need to go next door to pick one" We did and placed our order. Within minutes he came with our order and we sat for about half an hour before leaving. My daughter went to pay through at the front counter as I put on my coat. As I went through to meet my daughter he appeared behind me and said.." "Are you not going to pay?".. I said my daughter was paying at the front counter and he said... "You pay here" I work in retail and just thought that he was very rude. I'm glad the back was pretty empty as I felt quite embarrassed when he said that. Won't be back.
Menu completely different to online version. No sausages available so were told we'd get extra other items. That didn't happen. Toast wasn't included despite the menu saying so online, prices are extortionate and were given cheap tesco own brand. Staff were polite but slow. Vegetarian options: Vegan option is awful. No sausages available. No spread for toast. Mushrooms were awful. The haggis is like a microwaved dry patty. Wouldn't recommend, especially at these prices!
Food was great. We had a table of 5 and everyone loved what was put in front of them. Took almost an hour to be served though even though the place wasn't busy. Note: This place automatically adds a 10% service chargeFood: 5/5
Welcoming staff, clean restaurant, just waiting to try the food .... So starter of tempura prawns and lentil haggis bonbons super tasty, batter on prawns and dips done well, prawns cooked just right, 5 stars for that, so good there isn't a pik, sadly let down a little by Main course, which was their veggy burgersweet potato chilli and sweetcorn and Southern spiced chicken burger comes with corn on cob 1/4 and bbq and fries with a side of onion rings and slaw. First off veggy pattie was really thick, like double thickness of usual I've had before and sadly not very flavoursome, bun was meant to be seeded brioche but was something denser don't know if it was a vegan version, fries good quality and the sweet chilli dip was nice. secondly chicken burger was sadly not spicy but a chargrilled beast that was cooked well and nice and juicy, bun and fries were tasty. even though not spicy I cleared my plate so all good Onion rings were super crisp and some of the best I have had if maybe a little salty but good with beer, possibly may be nicer if red onion instead of brown as a salt sweet combo but awesome either way, the slaw was tasty, maybe a little bit of a pickle kick to it, nice with the fries and burger. Don't really want to mark this place down the venue was nice, looks like it caters well to groups, staff helpful and held out table as we struggled getting parked, and they cater for dogs too, think you need to keep them outside or at the bar, don't get that need for separation they give them a bowl of water to . Fast service, good wait between courses, ill let you make your own mind up, worth a shot maybe I got the marina on a bad day
Visited with a party of 20. Dedicated waiter for th table. Food was of a high standard but some things changed between the pre order and the service that weren't communicated to us. Little disappointing The staff were tremendous. The decor is great, nice place to eat but doesn't hide it's previous life completely. Also, bathrooms are upstairs which is a bit of trek.
