The most beautiful spacious restaurant with incredible views of the golf course. The staff were amazing, so welcoming. The food was fabulous especially the cauliflower cheese with mustard seeds. We will very much be back again. Thank you.
I'm a member here. I joined firstly because I started coming to the range. Ended up getting a lesson and then played the coursea couple of times. The course, at times, esp off seasons, could be in better condition but this summer it has honestly been amazing. I really enjoy it. It's challenging but not so much you regret turning up when you're not having a good day. The back 9 is really fun. The food in the bar isn't great. Never tried the restaurant? Seating area round the back next to 9/18 holes is great place to relax before or after a round.
The new driving range is very good. Much nicer than before with lots of space for groups behind each bay. The end bays 16-19 do not have Toptracer, however the earlier numbered bays do. What makes up for it though is that these later bays have additional seating, so great to bring families along. The Diamond suite looks nice, being enclosed, so good for those who want some privacy from the masses, while the Platinum is the top level offering, with putting and a sofa. Would be nice if all bays had Toptracer, and the range seems shorter than it used to be, however the facility itself is now top notch and a couple of steps above most driving range 'sheds'.
A very underwhelming and overpriced golf course. The clubhouse is very modern and clean and tidy, but that's where the positives stop. The course itself was in terrible condition today. Fairways not mowed, boggy and almost every green squelched under foot. They hadn't been forked at all and some even had standing water on. The bunkers all had puddles in them too. I wouldn't even play here again if it was my local course.
Played the course for the first time on 08/06/24. + Started at the range. a nice facility with trackman £7.50 for 1/2hr. Probably on the limit of being an acceptable price. The course from the clubhouse looked promising. However once out and playing I don't think the condition were acceptable at all. - Bunkers with next to no sand Grit, weeds and rocks. - Greens were very bobbly and inconsistent, hole to hole. They looked diseased to me.. - The general layout. The course design doesn't lend itself to a fluid round. + Clubhouse was pleasant with a nice selection of refreshments. If the fundamentals were improved, the experience would have been much more enjoyable. but in it's current condition I wouldn't revisit.
This course has so much potential and the scenery especially the back nine is wonderful. The fairways could be moved more as rough and fairway are often indiscernible. Greens are well designed but are in paths condition. Bunkers, although not many, are in rough state - partly due to players not raking out their bunker player. Spaced out play would be better as play seems congested. Nearly got struck by a range ball which had come thrown broken or. missing netting while walking down the fairway on the 10th hole and range balls everywhere, this is an accident waiting to happen.
Been playing here for about a year now and the transformation from last year is outstanding. The course is beautiful now. The new management really have put the work in to make it a great place to play.
Forest Hill Golf Centre is excellent. Spent an hour on the driving range and their virtual reality golf course meant we could play The Belfry but on the screen. It's like Tiger Woods EA Sports but playing it for real! Really good. Great service and great facilities. We'll be back soon. Cheers!
Was going to book, but saw a LOT of free booking slots, so decided to just turn up, only to be told they've run out of balls. Yet tons of balls all over the range, while 3 people are sat in reception having a chat not collecting the balls in. If I ran that business I'd be very annoyed at my staff!
Possibly the worst golf course in the county? The greens are an embarrassment The bunkers had weeds and grass growing out of them I played here loads for 12 months after the pandemic, but since then all the owners care about is profiteering from the overpriced driving range. I genuinely feel sorry for anyone who’s a member there still. Won’t ever go back. Try Six Hills if you’re looking for a spontaneous round. Far far better, and cheaper
