I feel I need to share my experience.nI've worked my whole life, I was unfortunately made redundant in January. This is the first time I've ever had to sign on. I was very apprehensive to begin with. This is basically an appreciation review to the lady who looks after me at the job centre, her name is Joy and she is lovely and has made me feel better about signing on.nShe made me feel comfortable from our very first meeting and has continued to help and support me over the few months. I hope Joys employers see this review and she gets a recognition for all she does for people like me xx
I had a very good experience at Folkestone Job Centre today. I had an Interview booked and was seen promptly...nAbove all, the lady I had the interview with was SO helpful, and understanding. Thank you.
Staff attitude A+ including security team. They could do with private booths to interview clients in. They could do more it's a shame about moving services to online Universal credit and the arduous PIP application process. My PIP forms never arrived despite 3 attempts and long waiting time to access agents via PIP helpline. Not Jobcentre staff's fault course. They also photocopied my passport and documents needed at the HQ for free. couldn't do without our local job centres. Nice warm places to wait whilst being seen and having finances sorted.
To get to the interview table, you have to go up to the top floor without an elevator, the staff is very friendly and the waiting chairs are comfortable
The man I see every fortnight is very nice and helpful.
